best ferritin supplement?
Well, after a sleep study & associated labs, I'm told my ferritin is 55 (range 20-228) and the doctor wants it to be at least 70. (Thyroid & all other numbers look good, however.) The nurse in the office called and recommended ferrous sulfate 325 MG, 2x day, and warned me that it causes constipation

Are My Numbers Horrible?
I was on statins 9 years ago and they caused debilitating muscle pains. When I switched doctors, my new doctor ordered a nuclear stress test, cardiac calcium test, c-reactive protein & NMR LipoProfile. Stress test was normal, cardiac calcium score was zero, c-reactive protein normal, but my NMR showed

Rhubarb in season now š
I made a rhubarb crumble tonight with some Rhubarb a friend gave me out of her garden. The only thing that puts me off rhubarb is that it is so tart that you have to add sugar. Instead of sugar I added 4 dates I chopped up into the cooked rhubarb to add sweetness and I think it worked very well. I didn

Should I drop from 100mcg to 75mcg?
Hi all, I have posted a few times with my story. My most recent results are after 6 weeks on 100mcg levo. I only got NHS results this time, no medichecks results although I do regularly monitor all the usual vits and they are where they should be. I follow a gluten, dairy and soya free diet. I supplement

New to the forum. Diagnosed with prostate cancer last June. Gleason score 7, PSA has been hanging around 10 to 11. I have been taking vitamins and supplements, plus graviola, plus RSO, plus Vitamin C IVs. So, I am a bit afraid of just waiting but I don't feel good about surgery or hormone therapy or

Breathless and difficult digestion. Other autoimmune?
Hi everyone. I wonder what advice you might have for a guy wrestling with Hashimoto's. My main symptoms are fatigue, exertion to breath, bloating, sometimes it can be tiring to stand but I don't know if this is more to do with being bloated and breathless. finally, although it seldom quells my appetite

Are vitamins hurtful to the liver?
Hi all, I wanted to ask if any of you know if taking a woman's daily multivitamin and a separate vitamin C with D supplement plus a calcium supplement hurtful for the liver? I'm perimenopausal and was told I should take these things by a doctor that does not know ..at the time...that I had fatty liver

Isradipine calcium phase 3 clinical trial: slow PD progression?
An ongoing, NIH sponsored, Phase 3 clinical trial in North America is testing the ability of one member of the dihydropyridine class (isradipine) to slow PD progression in early stage patients. The review summarizes the rationale for the trial and outlines some unanswered questions. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

Intravenous Vitamin C
Along with standard of care for Stage IV, I am doing a 50 gram infusion of Vitamin C twice weekly. Seems to have some solid science behind it. The Riordan Clinic has been doing this for decades and they appear to have it figured out. The good news is that they freely share their protocol. https

what to say to people when they offer unsolicited advice
I don't want to make my Cancer a secret. I'm not ashamed of it. But I find if I admit it (because maybe I'm tired, and I don't have the stamina I used to) people immediately and universally offer unsolicited advice, i.e. "Why don't you just. . . go to Mexico and get unapproved treatments? or cure it
