Hi all, I wanted to ask if any of you know if taking a woman's daily multivitamin and a separate vitamin C with D supplement plus a calcium supplement hurtful for the liver? I'm perimenopausal and was told I should take these things by a doctor that does not know ..at the time...that I had fatty liver. Or should we just cut everything out to give our livers a break? I also have to take Zyrtec allergy medicine and lisinopril, a small dose for my blood pressure. I have a cardiologist who wants me to take a Statin too. I have read that statins can help with fatty liver but I also read that it can hurt. Whats a person to do??? Thanks.

It is very tough since the docs rarely communicate. Liver disease does affect digestion so many people do need to take vitamins and the list you gave is common. Be aware that large doses of anything can be harmful, but if you can ask a hepatologist
I was told by my doctor not to take iron. He knows I take a multi-vitamin. But any others I would call his nurse to task your doctor.
