Sodium Picosulfate
my foster child has been on either
Laxido
or Movecol since he was 5years old, he is now 12. He had a brief time of no soiling during Covid and isolation, and another one a year ago where he didn’t soil. He has now been put on sodium Picosulfate, since November last year.

Does Soiling always require disimpaction?
My son has been on
laxido
since July 2023. Weve disimpacted in the past but for months he has been doing great on just 1 sachet a day. Until recently where he wasnt given a sachet for a couple of days, he now has got the fear again and soiling his pants.

GP isn’t much help, I’m wondering wether to come off
laxido
as I’ve read it can cause bloating and gas. Can anyone relate to this?

Laxatives for constipation
The gp has just changed me from
laxido
to fybogel mebeverine. I've taken half a sachet and the pain is horrendous. It is causing awful cramps. I'm not sure what to do as I can't carry on with the constipation. I tried upping the fibre and that did the same and aggrevated the symptoms 🥹

Linaclotide..... (Constella)
I currently take a half scoop of optifibre and a half sachet of
laxido
each night. When I start the linaclotide I'll stop the
laxido
but was planning on continuing with the optifibre. If anyone has experience with linaclotide any and all feedback and information would be massively appreciated.

Disimpaction Journey with autistic non-verbal child
The consultant told me to increase his
laxido
powders (we had been on 2 for a long while). We increased to 4 and saw lots of poo but more aggressive behaviour that was very difficult to manage.

Laxido for faecal impaction
I've been prescribed
Laxido
and told to take eight sachets, within six hours, for faecal impaction. Anybody out there done that? How was it? What happened? Did it work? Thanks for reading.

Perimenopause - Constipation
I have been taking
Laxido
for about 9 months now. My doctor is not sure if perimenopause is the cause of it, but a menopause doctor says yes it can. I have had colonscopy and CT scan of bowel and everything was clear then.

What comes out is small soft pellets, or liqued as I take 3
laxido
a day. The GP also prescribed senna but that didn't help. I have an apppointment with gasterenterology on the 1st of May and I had a colonoscopy a year ago which found two polyps that were removed but that didn't help.

Worried about blood
I went to my doctors and was prescribed
laxido
. This helped and I was able to go toilet with no pain. I stopped taking it as I didn't want to be dependant on it but the constipation returned. I do about 90% of the time have bright red blood on my stool and when wiping when I have constipation.

At a loss with what to do
She’s been on
laxido
for possibly a year. She started potty training herself really and then all of a sudden about 6 months ago she started weeing herself. It’s like she doesn’t know she’s doing it. I thought maybe due to be constipated it was causing her to wee herself? Is this a thing?

Postive Qfit test
I do suffer from chronic constipation and do have to strain even taking laxatives -
laxido
. I attended another GP on Monday and he did a rectal exam and he found a small external heomorrid which might be a cause. Could the hermoid be a cause.

What to do ?
I really thought I'd started managing my IBS c by taking
laxido
twice a week I had started to go to the loo regularly and with little discomfort.

Hello, my 9 yr old son has been prescribed a two week course of LEXIDO. we have been told he needs to take four sachets on day one, then six on day two, adding two more sachets each day until he takes 12 sachets a day. How have you introduced this in to their diet? Do you give it over the day, whenever
