Disimpaction Journey with autistic non-verbal child

Hi all, my 9 year old non-verbal autistic son was presenting with stomach pain and very aggressive self injurious behaviour. He was also lashing out at us very badly, biting and scratching and causing serious injury. We took him to A&E but he couldn’t tolerate it and became too distressed to stay. The consultant told me to increase his laxido powders (we had been on 2 for a long while). We increased to 4 and saw lots of poo but more aggressive behaviour that was very difficult to manage. I eventually managed to get in touch in with complex needs nursing team who told me they thought he was impacted so we started on disimpaction. We got to 12 powders and stayed there for 6 days before his behaviour became so difficult we reduced to 6 again. We stayed on 6 powders for weeks with challenging behaviour and thick diarrhoea daily but no rusty water. We eventually got a plan together with our local paediatric A&E and gave medication to calm him enough to get him in for an X-ray and blood tests. The X-ray showed poo in his large intestine and we were told to start the disimpaction regime again. We’ve now been back on 12 powders for 6 days with incredibly challenging physical behaviour resulting in injuries all round. We have seen his poo change from thick soft poo all the way to what looks like melted chocolate but no rusty water. Today his poo has gone back to thick with some form. Is this normal? For it to go up and down in consistency? He’s so distressed and unhappy all the time wired wind. He can’t tell us how he’s feeling and is finding it impossible sleep. We’re so desperate for advice. Any help at all would be so gratefully received!

No advice sorry as we haven’t been able to get enough in to be able to get brown tea either. Son is verbal, but PDA. I think his behaviour has also got more agressive.
