dRTA (distal Renal Tubular Acidosis) is a rare type of kidney disease that can have a have major impact on a person’s health throughout their life. National Kidney Foundation has created this community to provide a source of support and general information and to help raise awareness and understanding about dRTA for patients and their families. Fueled by passion and urgency, NKF is a lifeline for all people affected by kidney disease. As pioneers of scientific research and innovation, NKF focuses on the whole patient through the lens of kidney health. Relentless in our work, we enhance lives through action, education and accelerating change.
USAnaphylaxis is a community for people who are at risk for life-threatening allergic reactions, or anaphylaxis, and want to learn more about their condition from their peers. The community is run by Allergy & Asthma Network, the leading nonprofit patient education and advocacy organization dedicated to ending needless death and suffering due to asthma, allergies and related conditions. Our patient-centered network unites individuals, families, healthcare professionals, industry and government decision makers to improve health and quality of life for people with asthma and allergies.
Anticoagulation UK helps those impacted by thrombotic disorders such as atrial fibrillation, stroke, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). Anyone taking anticoagulation medications such as Apixaban, Dabigatran, Edoxaban, Rivaroxaban and Warfarin. So why have we changed our name from Anticoagulation Europe to anticoagulation UK? Quite simply, we want to focus on our continuing commitment to provide information, education and support to the anticoagulation patient community and their health care professionals. We have retained our aims and values our new Prevention, Provision and Promotion strategy. We will continue to work with our European colleagues ensuring that we are able to contribute to the valuable research and development undertaken to promote effective anticoagulation treatments.
The Positive Wellbeing During Self-Isolation community is meant to provide a supportive environment for anyone having to isolate in any way during these strange times. The community will be a positive place for people to find companionship. During this particularly difficult time with Covid-19 (coronavirus), it is important that any individuals who are experiencing isolation focus on their mental and physical health. The community will allow individuals to share their tips, advice and experiences on how to keep healthy during this unique moment. Our overall aim is to make sure we make it through together, alone but together.
