Laxido

However I am back on the Laxido again which has worked quickly on low doses and doing good amounts but in a lot of pain but more distressingly endless wipe after going which is effecting me going out. Has anybody experienced this and could it be overflow and need a higher dose ?

Is this normal when using Laxido ? just wondering other peoples experiences

Especially laxido, I think to extent it's in my head as I'm on many meds and not very consistent but as soon as I start taking laxido on a regular basis, I pretty much stop going to the toilet, start getting severe bloating and then worry about taking it.

im not sure how laxido works or how long it takes to clear impactions because i think mine might be quite high up. is THIS the impaction clearing up?

Over last 3 months increasing constipation and now cannot pass any faecal material without daily multiple sachets of Laxido and Docusate sodium. Also having to ‘force’ out urine on occasion. I can only assume I have a bowel blockage but not getting any help with a diagnosis.

Is there actually anything the doctors can do for my chronic constipation apart from just prescribing me laxido? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I've been taking Laxido, psyllium and drinking plenty of water, probably a bit too much to start with as I almost gave myself diarrhoea! But since then it's been very difficult and it feels like I'm struggling more now than before I had the repair....and believe me it was a struggle before.

I was extremely constipated a couple of days ago and I had to take extra laxido. This ended up having a strong effect and I then couldn’t get off the toilet last night. At bedtime I started to have a lot of watery discharge gushing out.

I’ve been on laxido for constipation for the last two years or so. At first it was ok with very little side effects. However, recently over the last few months I’ve been suffering from bloating, trapped wind and excess gas which are side effects of laxido.

He’s taking 8 adult laxido a day and 3 senna tablets at night (to be increased to 4 tonight) He is still only having one bowel movement a day and it’s loose but not watery. More like a firm mousse.

I was prescribed Laxido by the GP and took that for a long time but managed to wean off it a couple of years ago and used vitamin C instead. However, after a knee op I was given strong pain killers and needed some help so she re-prescribed Laxido in January.

After 6 laxido one day she passed a darker thick gravy poo. Since then for the last 2 days it's been very much this multiple times a day. She's now having accidents when sneezing or coughing of very light watery poo. Perhaps she wasn't impacted. Any advice? Is thi fresh poo? She's eating well.

I’m now trying to wean myself off laxido by taking lower dosages (taking one sachet a day). I’m now taking 75% of a sachet daily then I’ll drop to 50% etc over the next couple of weeks. Do I need to do it this way please?

Laxido for Codeine complication !!! I can’t get out of bed without agony , can’t turn in it , can’t sleep , can’t get bra on or off . I walk so slowly and sitting is so uncomfortable as I’ve got added complication of tail pain . It’s going to be a long wait for scan ! Then what ???

Poo always type 4/5, had been on daily laxido sachet since weaning at 6 months. However, has had soiling accidents over last few months and realised she wasn’t pooing every day so decided to treat for constipation.

I was taking Fybogel for a few days, it worked but still wasn’t getting everything out so i am now trying Laxido. Today was my first day taking it and ive taken 3x sachets and 1 sachet of fybogel. Nothing has happened yet. I just wondered peoples experiences with both of these?

we have started another disempaction with senna and laxido this time and he has been on the max dose of laxido (12 satchets) and 20ml of senna for 10 days now. We think we’re getting there with liquid poos then it goes back more fluffy poos! It doesn’t make sense.

This is in spite of the fact I take one Laxido a day. I eat a healthy diet, count my calories and exercise daily. This is beginning to depress me as I try so hard to keep my weight down. but it has now gone up by 3lbs in one month and I can not seem to shift it.

we are going to be starting disimpaction soon, we currently have Laxido and was planning on making jelly pouches but because you can only keep Laxido for 6 hrs can this be done? Or should I request movicol instead? thanks

An xray revealed impaction and severe constipation a few months back and she’s been on high doses of senna, picosulfate and laxido (had to switch from lactulose) with no effect. Any positive stories? Or similar? We are awaiting gastro/colonoscopy + biopsies of bowels and oesophagus.
