Laxido

Is this normal when using Laxido ? just wondering other peoples experiences

im not sure how laxido works or how long it takes to clear impactions because i think mine might be quite high up. is THIS the impaction clearing up?

Especially laxido, I think to extent it's in my head as I'm on many meds and not very consistent but as soon as I start taking laxido on a regular basis, I pretty much stop going to the toilet, start getting severe bloating and then worry about taking it.

Is there actually anything the doctors can do for my chronic constipation apart from just prescribing me laxido? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I’ve been on laxido for constipation for the last two years or so. At first it was ok with very little side effects. However, recently over the last few months I’ve been suffering from bloating, trapped wind and excess gas which are side effects of laxido.

. - 2 laxido Day 2. - 3 laxido Day 3. - 3 laxido Day 4. - 4 laxido Day 5. - 4 laxido Day 6 - 4 laxido - failed to do six question can I melt down a chocolate egg add the laxido to it then harden it in the fridge and give him to eat? I’m worrying about dehydration .

I've been taking Laxido, psyllium and drinking plenty of water, probably a bit too much to start with as I almost gave myself diarrhoea! But since then it's been very difficult and it feels like I'm struggling more now than before I had the repair....and believe me it was a struggle before.

we are going to be starting disimpaction soon, we currently have Laxido and was planning on making jelly pouches but because you can only keep Laxido for 6 hrs can this be done? Or should I request movicol instead? thanks

I was prescribed Laxido by the GP and took that for a long time but managed to wean off it a couple of years ago and used vitamin C instead. However, after a knee op I was given strong pain killers and needed some help so she re-prescribed Laxido in January.

I’m now trying to wean myself off laxido by taking lower dosages (taking one sachet a day). I’m now taking 75% of a sachet daily then I’ll drop to 50% etc over the next couple of weeks. Do I need to do it this way please?

I was taking Fybogel for a few days, it worked but still wasn’t getting everything out so i am now trying Laxido. Today was my first day taking it and ive taken 3x sachets and 1 sachet of fybogel. Nothing has happened yet. I just wondered peoples experiences with both of these?

we have started another disempaction with senna and laxido this time and he has been on the max dose of laxido (12 satchets) and 20ml of senna for 10 days now. We think we’re getting there with liquid poos then it goes back more fluffy poos! It doesn’t make sense.

After 6 laxido one day she passed a darker thick gravy poo. Since then for the last 2 days it's been very much this multiple times a day. She's now having accidents when sneezing or coughing of very light watery poo. Perhaps she wasn't impacted. Any advice? Is thi fresh poo? She's eating well.

Taken Senna, Fybogel and Laxido and haven’t had any bowel movements. I’ve seen people say to take Bisacodyl as this is quite strong. What are people’s experiences with this? Does it work? When is the best time to take it?

Just had my first sachet of Laxido orange,left me with salty taste on my lips very slightly tingling is this normal ? Been 45 minutes now so not an allergic reaction just wondered how others got on with taste

She has gone to the 1 sachet of Laxido maintenace dose but today her poo has come out very round (she had a little trouble pushing it but it wasn’t really hard). Do I need to up her dose of Laxido?

I have also been prescribed Laxido which I take 1 sachet in the morning and one in the evening. I am also bleeding red blood daily which I know can happen but also they told me to stop taking my pill so could be the start of another period also.

This is in spite of the fact I take one Laxido a day. I eat a healthy diet, count my calories and exercise daily. This is beginning to depress me as I try so hard to keep my weight down. but it has now gone up by 3lbs in one month and I can not seem to shift it.

Ive been taking Laxido for eight months now for recurring impactions and now down to one a day where I do a good BM most days but the last week started to get the most awful stomach pain and bloating which lasts all day .

An xray revealed impaction and severe constipation a few months back and she’s been on high doses of senna, picosulfate and laxido (had to switch from lactulose) with no effect. Any positive stories? Or similar? We are awaiting gastro/colonoscopy + biopsies of bowels and oesophagus.
