Ask your doctor about trying Metamucil (a few teaspoons) during the day and 300 mgs of a Magnesium capsule before bed.

I’ve got similar to you where the laxido didn’t really do much. My problem is lack of peristalsis. I’m now on linaclotide and whilst it produces watery stools works pretty regularly. Recently I’ve managed to go spontaneously every couple of days which is great. You need a couple of hours at home after taking it as the impact can make you have to move quickly.

I found that Laxido simply resulted in a cycle of diarrhoea followed by digestive system seizing up in reaction. But thanks to thus site i discovered triphala /tryphala and haven't looked back.

Ive not heard of triphala ( just about tried everything else ! ) so will definitely look into this. Is it all you take and do you get any side effects with it ? Thank you so much for getting back .

No side effects, it's natural and has been used for centuries and it seems to have sorted me out. I started with 2 capsules a day, then one and now occasional use. Its on Amazon.

I use Cosmocol every day (one sachet spread over the day) and it keeps me loose enough to have a poo every morning and it`s not too harsh.

Hi for years I have suffered from chronic constipation and know I suffer from IBS C I was rushed to hospital a lot with the slow transit constipation and non stop vomiting I used to pass out on the toilet the fourth time I was taken to hospital they looked into it and done test and put me on Linaclotide I have to say what a relief after all those years suffering I still take Laxido but it has changed my life a lot no more fainting on the toilet with the pain try asking your GP about it hope you have some luck take care I know how you feel 🤗🤗xx Tillytrots.

I have ibs and since the first Zoledrolic acid infusion nearly 5 months ago I have been dealing with constipation. I am waiting for it to wear off now. Fibogel has been a great help with this. Do hope things improve for you soon.

Thank you for your kind reply. I have tried Fibogel but makes things worse . I guess you are taking Zoledrolic acid for osteoporosis ? I have this too and was offered aldronic acid but do not take it for this reason. 🙂
