Sorry to hear that this is an ongoing problem for you. Also sorry, I have no advice, but I wondered if you think you need to go back to your for more investigations?

Have experienced this - thinking possibly internal haemorrhoids, know they are there, confirmed on last colonoscopy but not requiring treatment - using cream with pushy in thing and it does feel like less pressure - could it be that, feels like something stuck up there - but passing bus in the usual difficult way .

Dudders123 maybe right. I have internal prolapses/haemorrhoids which mimic constipation ie Tenesmus & am awaiting "banding " treatment which I've had before. But if really constipation then my advice stop Laxido and have an enema (can do it yourself) or good dose of Milk of Magnesia. Whatever, you need to see a GP and, probably a colorectal surgeon. Hope you get it sorted.

Try a large dose of magnesium citrate

Totally agree about a good dose of Milk of Magnesia (30m) Worked wonders for me ac couple of times. I also take 2 magnesium citrate tabs each evening. It helps most of the time.

try a fleet enema, ideally one with extra fluid. Problem may also be related to pelvic floor dysfunction which means that your bowels cannot relax. Look it up on dr. Google and find some relevant exercises

I also have slow transit but since I started adding a 1/2 tsp of flaxseed meal to my breakfast I have been so much better. Can't hurt to try it.

Thanks for this it prompted me to remember something I did a couple of years ago and that was take fibergel & flaxseed it worked at the time but then a few other medical problems went on and I had several hospital appointments and stoped the flaxseed but when I started again I could get the dosage right so I stopped so is it 1/2 a teaspoon or 1/2 table spoon please I certainly got relief at the time

1/2 teaspoon flaxseed meal works for me and I would start with that and always go up to a teaspoon if you want more relief

Thank you I have been looking into costs and Holland and Barrett seem to be a decent price for 500 grams any suggestions of other makes I can try

wind trapped behind the slow stools possibly, I’m trying this kiwi x2 a day and fyborgel, ok at the moment, going to start raw cabbage juice this Thursday, half a head of green cabbage + 2 peeled carrot + 2 sticks celery + 1 apple+ fresh mint, blended 30 sec on high, strained of all fibre with mesh and drank immediately, you’ll hear me cursing if it goes wrong!
