How food additives can perhaps affect us: a chocolate story.
I can eat Galaxy chocolate. No problem, and it doesn't trigger my IBS. The other day I ate a Galaxy Ripple bar instead of the ordinary block chocolate. I thought nothing of it, just thought it would be the same as the block chocolate. But it affected my bowel movements the next day, and there

bp very up and down
Most of the time I can coast along and my systolic bp is acceptable but just sometimes it goes up rather for apparently no reason. I then have to start taking Candesartan again for a day or two and then taper off with every other day for a week or so and it goes back down. I do all the deep breathing

Vitamin D - daily dose?
when I was first diagnosed with PBC my Vit D levels were low so had a high dose supplement which brought levels up to normal range. Bone density scan was OK. With general vitamin supplement and cod liver oil in winter months I take 10 microg of Vit D. I would be interested to hear how much anyone else

Goitre and blood test
This is a bit of a long one - Thank you all in advance for your advice. So I have had a goitre for about 12 years - am not on medication and feel fine.. I have been aware it seems to have got bigger over the last few months and I do feel self-conscious about it. It does not affect breathing . I stayed

Getting circumcised after 7 months of battling with constant Balanitis
I got Balanitis from seemingly nowhere 7 months ago. As soon as I realized something felt off down there I took a trip to the Dr, believing that it would be a relatively easy fix. I was prescribed Clotrimazole, I was so relieved on the way home, thankful for modern medicine. If only Iād known how premature

Tips on Panic
Hello friends,Ā I am new to the group. Just joined moments ago. Iāve had anxiety most of my life with occasional panic attacks induced by stressful life events (and only lasted about a minute). The last few months my anxiety has gotten worse and I started having more and more frequent panic attacks randomly

Why you should NOT supplement high-dose D3
https://youtu.be/GsomcvdT7Po This random video I came across deserves more views. If you're baffled about how to get enough vitamin D when not exposed to regular sunlight, try supplementing raw cold-pressed cod liver oil instead along with vitamin K. https://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/cod-liver-oil

Epsom Salt and essential oils foot soak query
just a quick enquiry. I bought these lovely Epsom salts to give myself a relaxing foot soak but then read the list of essential oils and thought they might not be so good after all. š¤¦āāļø I take flecainide, bisoprolol, warfarin and levothyroxine. Do foot soaks mean you absorb a lot of the essential

Berberine / Curcurmin essential oils?
Iāve been reading about use of Berberine, curcurmin, clove and cinnamon oils for SIBO/ SIFO symptoms. (In Dr William Davies book supergut) Iām pretty much there with resolving my GI issues so reticent to mess around, but you know how it goes, Iām also curious as to whether it could be even better.

Hi Sue
I take 1200 mg gabapentin but in bed, 600mg getting into bed, and then 600mg in the middle of the night. This is partly because I have mild ADHD and am quite forgetful. But I don't suffer from RLS anything like some of the poor folk on here. Also I take the following supplements . 1g of vit c. 300 mg
