My thoughts (long and maybe trigger warning)
So frantically I schedule a next week appoint to the

Decreasing GFR
Hi all, new here but wanted to ask a question. I am 48 I have stage 3 congestive heart failure and I take 80mg of Lasix a day plus 25 mg of spironolactone. These are both diuretics. My blood work showed that my GFR has dropped 20 points in less than 2 months. I was at 104 now less then 2 months later

Ablation recommended for my mother at 92 yrs old?
Hi All - I write here for my mother who is 92 yrs old and has had afib for over 30 yrs now. Lately she is having more episodes that last longer periods of time. We saw her cardio/EP today and her heart is beating too fast. She has a pace maker that keeps her heart from going below 60 beats a minute

Cirrhosis makes me sleep all day & night -- any remedies?
Hi! I'm new here. I have had NASH for many years and it has now turned into cirrhosis. I have numerous varices, and had a near-fatal episode of bleeding from my varices a few years ago. The varices have responded well to banding, but I am now astonishingly tired. Sleeping 18 to 22 hours a day is not

I’m down to getting iron transfusions only monthly now along with b12 injections and don’t seem to have any more energy or I can’t seem to tell or feel any difference. I’m tired or if I sit down I’m out.. as long as I’m up I can do things.. I do most of the things here at home as fortunately I’m able

Ascites question
Hi all I was sick due to asthma and was on prednisone. I swear my belly was getting bigger. My legs swelled and I gained 11 pounds over 5 days. Off prednisone and was put on lasix to remove leg fluid. Down 11 pounds now off lasix. What symptoms did you have when ascites started? Did your legs swell

Sodium and Potassium management
My father 78, who is diabetic for almost 40 years now, has suddenly developed sodium and potassium issues. He had kidney problems (not under dialyses) and heart issues but BS was stable with insulin. With an infection, almost suddenly toppled him down, now with pulmonary edema, the worst thing is now

Is there a lymphedema-thyroid connection? I
In early January I saw an orthopod re my knees. I also have been having problems with feet and leg swelling. When he examined my knees he saw the swelling and recommended I make an appt with the Lymphedema clinic. I put it on the back burner as it was not critical (to me) and I had upcoming surgery

Worst Nightmare
My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 OC and had surgery and has been in the hospital ever since. She started chemo last Friday in the hospital and has been there since. Mom was malnutritioned going into chemo with the surgeries and all the procedures prior to chemo. It's just so hard seeing her go through

Could this be Behcet's`?
I got my
lasik
surgery done around 3 years ago so I now suspected this could be because of that, although it is really rare to get myopia back after
lasik
for someone as young as me (I am 26). Went to the eye doctor, he told me my eye looks fine and it could be because of stress.
