I was wondering if anyone could help.

I’m recovering from a laparoscopy after my MRI results came back as deep infiltrated endo behind my uterus attached to my bowel and bladder. I had the laparoscopy today and was told there wasn’t any endometriosis there just a lot of scar tissue but they have taken a biopsy just incase. It doesn’t make sense. The symptoms I have are horrific. I just need someone to listen to me. I feel like I’m again, waiting for answers.

Hi there, after diagnosing myself and telling everyone I saw to look for endometriosis, I had MRI which showed a minimal endo and then had a lapararoscopy from a gynaechologist who didn't specialise in endo. He told me there was a little he removed and that I shouldn't feel any more pain after 3 months of a chemically induced menopause. Once the hormones stopped (Prostrap, it was called) I was in pain again straight away. 2 years later I got passed from gynaechologist to gynaechologist all with differing opinions and I was getting fed up.

I went to Davor Jurkovic for an ultrasound and he told me I had extensive and severe endo and it was on my bowel. Of course, I had to pay for this myself.

Look up who your consultant was and see if they are on the BSGE register. This is a list of accredited Endo centres and this is really important. Not all gynaechologists have an interest or experience in endo so it's important that you have the right people looking at your case.

I hope you get the right care and wish you well 😊

I just want to know if there is still a possibility that the biopsy could come back positive for endo, the symptoms I have don’t correspond with scar tissue. And I’ve read that if the endo is at the back of the uterus they find it hard to see on a laparoscopy? I feel like I need an answer. And I’ve had the wrong one.

Not what you're looking for?
