hi, I am in the process of seeing a consultant regarding my laparoscopy. One of the things i struggle most with is lower back/period pain and painful sex. I am super apprehensive about this surgery and am scared that it won’t change anything. Has anyone else experienced a change after the surgery?
laparoscopy: hi, I am in the process of... - Endometriosis UK
laparoscopy

So sorry to read your post. I'm not sure if you've had a laporoscopy before, if you've had an endometriosis diagnosis. You'll have a chance to speak to the consultant before your surgery and you can go over the benefits of surgery. It may also help to seek counselling. Talking helps! As long as you find someone you like... again your consultant should advise on this. Good luck xx
Hello! I had my laparascopy and excision surgery over 2 months ago and have had significant benefits since. I'm no longer in pain, have much more energy and generally am feeling much better in myself - I was feeling very low last year. What I would say though is for post laparoscopy surgery do make sure you've got the support you need and take the time to recover, it's also important to make sure you're doing the right exercises to build your muscles and strength back up, but *only* at the right time, when youre ready!
hi
I had 1 previously in 2012 it has left 3 obvious scars however recovery time was good & it really did help alleviate certain symptoms for a long time- which means YES is it worth while, especially now where scans can miss what surgical exploration can find.
I’ve got a consult for morning unsure if it’s even endo related but at least gets the bowl rolling again xx
