Hi Fellow sufferers, my original post on here was about taking a
lactase
tablet with my medication to help with stomach issues I was getting from the Levo.

Can I take a lactase supplement with my Levothyroxine medication?
Like a lot of people on here I have an intolerance to lactose and to mannitol so I have been wondering if it would be ok to take a
lactase
tablet with the meds containing lactose? Have tried the lactose free brand but don’t seem to be tolerating the mannitol on those.

Cheese... (2)
Shortly after my first topic concerning cheese, I learned that my
lactase
count was 2. (It’s supposed to be between 10 and 100). My question is addressed to those of you who are familiar with their
lactase
counts and have as low a count as mine. Do you ever eat cheese? How much in one sitting?

Why does lactase enzyme give me diarrhea?
So I ordered the
lactase
enzyme to put into my a2 milk. Diarrhea went away while waiting a few days for the mail. So I put the enzyme in my A2 milk and I got the same exact symptoms as before!

How to Manage Your Type 2 Diabetes with Diet (an article)
These enzymes,
lactase
, sucrase and maltase break down the disaccharides into monosaccharides readily absorbed by the body. The actual absorption happens in the duodenum and the energy is stored in the liver and muscle tissue.

Colock and constipation
I've been giving her infacol for a while and started trying colief as I was wondering if it was a
lactase
issue. She doesn't seem to be reacting very much to either, improvements are minor. I'm sure that it will hopefully make a difference soon.

Increased dose of levo causing tummy problems - help please!
Or could I take a
Lactase
pill before taking the Levo (even though my Endo says it's not the cause...) I'm sorry again for this long rant. Does anyone have any tips for me? Thanks, Jess

Perhaps not utilising B12 - how to know? what to do?
(I do indulge quite often, using
lactase
tablets to make me process the lactose, but it doesn't do the trick fully.) Around Jan/Feb this year I became sensitive to coffee so I've cut that drastically back too.

Enzyme pills?
I just found out that people who has an intolerance to lactose can take
lactase
pills if they want to consume dairy. I was wondering if there is anything like this for gluten? Or onions and garlic?

So much gas
I remember now what happens when I don't use lactose/
lactase
pills :/. I first get bloated and then burping for long periods of time. An hour ago or so I woke up and started burping. After 30 mins it woke up my husband and he couldn't go back to sleep.

Real truth behind milk
Children beyond the age of 3 years stop producing two very important digestive enzymes, namely rennin and
lactase
that are necessary for the complete digestion of milk. Why? Because their bodies are designed to start digesting new solid foods.

Lactose Intolerance
He told me to buy simethicone (De-gas) which I did, also bought milk with
lactase
in it. I didn't have diarrhoea. After only a couple of days feeling much better. I had been having a cup of milk every night before bed,and had been having yogurt as well.
