Gabapentine
I have had RLS for many years. I am 85 years of age. My doctor prescribed Amitryptiline 10 mgs last year but I found that after a while it had no effect whatsoever. My doctor has now prescribed Gabapentine but on reading the leaflet with the package it has so many side effects that I 'm afraid to use

Mom-questions
She just scheduled
knee
surgery
for this month. I cannot believe the doctor agreed to it. She seems to think that this will make her walking/stability issues disappear. I am trying to be positive with her, but think that this won't do much, other than alleviate her knee pain. Advice??

Flare after TKR update
Just an update - I have taken ibuprofen regularly but no improvement and today I feel incredibly fatigued. I have therefore increased from 6.5mg to 10mg and will stay at this level for at least a week provided it solves the problem. Strangely it seems that everything but the knee hurts! Recovery

Insufficiency Fracture - likely cause - Prednisilone
I saw an orthopaedic Fracture surgeon last week following an MRI on my right knee to investigate knee pain. She reported a small meniscus tear and a small piece of detached cartilage. However she also reported an Insufficiency Fracture in the femur which she thinks may have been caused by Prednisolone

Knee replacement
I have had one knee replaced a few years ago and now have extreme pain, bone on bone, in the other knee. I asked my GP for a referral and he said to try injections as there’s a long waiting list! (I’ve tried these before and they only offered temporary and not much relief!) Can I insist on a referral

OxyContin

Back home & overthinking
After 12 days in hospital I am back home. I now have to wear morphine patches, (butec), take oramorph, cyclizine and various other medication. I've started my prostap injections so I'm mindful of monitoring my mood. I take HRT gel and tablets. It's a drain. So I decided not to to with the emergency

I am an idiot lol. Booked a call with Doc this morning 8.10. Normally they are good and usually ring on time. At 9am I thought strange no call. I rang surgery and got through in 2 mins which was a miracle. Was told after I explained about my call not had one that is was a booking for face to face.

Hello! I had my first surgery for a fistula yesterday. Surgeon connected my brachial artery to my basilic vein at the elbow. I had a nerve block in my arm that they told me would last for 18 to 24 hours and it was already starting to wear off while I was in recovery. A few hours later and it was
