Does anyone use complimentary herbal remedies?
I'm have booked an appointment to see a lovely herbalist on Friday morning and am pretty excited about it, it's been a long time in the planning. Does anyone here use any herbal remedies along with their prescription drugs? I have always loved herbs but know I need the advice of a trained herbal

Run out of my meds ...
I always have my meds on a repeat from my lovely local chemist - he orders the repeat from my dr and then delivers my meds to me at home, I don't have to do a thing (good job really as I always forget). Because I use one of those weekly pill holders, I sort my pills for the week on a sunday then forget

How long before my RA is under control??
I have been taking Methotrexate for 5 months and Sulfasalazine for 5 weeks. I was diagnosed with RA in November last year after having symptoms, on and off, for 2 years. I have had 3 lots of steroids since then and my hands are not as painful every day as they were. I take Diclofenac modified release

How can I ease the pain please? Hands - stiffness, hypermobility, bruising, overly react to temperature.
I was diagnosed last October and did not recognise stiffness as a problem but it is a symptom which has developed. My hands are getting steadily worse needing stretching and bending carefully - I even wonder about the hyper-mobility as the joints appear looser on my little fingers which have always

Sulphsalazine - not sure I want to continue taking it!
I've been on sulphsalazine for a few months now along with Hydroxycloroquine, plus amytriptiline & meloxicam as well as co codamol. For the last 4-5 weeks I have had a revolting taste in my mouth along with heightened sense of smell. I haven't got a sinus infection, my teeth are fine, I haven;t got

Sharing the experience!
Being only 25 and suffering with Fibromyalgia for the last 4 years sometimes i feel my life has been cut short. I used to love going out drinking with friends and going to gigs and rock festivals. I lost count of how many times iv had to sleep at train stations in the cold after missing the last train

Who takes Tramadol?
I've recently been prescribed Tramadol as I was fed up with the amount of paracetamol that I take each day in the form of Co-codamol (up to 8 tablets a day), as well as the fact they've stopped really working on the pain, so I expect I'm tolerant to them now. Anyway the Tramadol, it's awful. It makes

Good Night All - it's not been a bad day
Hi all, at least having a better night than yesterday when I had a bad headache and backache. Again didn't get much sleep but that seems to be the norm now so I have decided that I will just have to put up with for now. It's not been a bad day once I got started - that is crawling out of bed very

HELP! Can anyone recommend a good muscle relaxant? ( not Diazepam)
I'm in a really, really, really bad flare-up. Worst in years! I'm quite literally at my wits end. I'm seeing my pain specialist tomorrow - who, btw, is lovely and a real help. All except that I get hardly any pain meds. I'm on Co-codamol (30/500) and Ibuprofen ( 400mg) I also get diazepam, but only

Asthma ... and painkillers, whats best???? Any ideas???
Hi I’m after some advice please. I currently take co-dydramol 10mg/500mg as pain relief and I’ve been taking co-codomol or similar for about 3 years now but I’m finding the affect on my asthma is getting much worse and causing problems, these aren’t strong enough either but the stronger they are
