the doctor has increased my Amytriptoline to 50 mg a day given me Tramadol to take on top of co-codamol so why after just hoovering do I feel like i've been kicked in the back by a mule

Hoovering kills me too, i actually sit on the floor to hoover with the nozzle lol.

Where there's a will there's a way, The only thing though it summoning up the will! and as for the way;;Ive bought one of those carpet sweepers you charge up.Not as hard to push as a vaccuum cleaner, doesn't get right down to the dirt though. Anyway if anything falls on the floor now,I don't worry, it can't fall any further can it. No good worrying, if you're not well enough to pick it up, then just leave it there.Dont worry.
One of the joys of fibro is that we don't always know which bit is going to hurt next.and for most of us there is always a price to pay for being energetic
On the plus side I think there is a lot more satisfaction in getting things done, things that we wouldn't bat an eye at at if we were properly healthy.
