Carefully look at your lab test results-all depends on the normal range for each lab.
Just in case others may experience what I just did I will give my most recent experience: (when we compare our test result numbers on here remember they may all be wildly different numbers but mean the same thing)": Due to my stage 3 egfr (caused by only one kidney) and renal metastatic cancer, I get

Rejection
I took blood tests to see what’s going on with my kidney. I was told a biopsy would be next to see what is causing the problem and treatment to follow! These UTI’s are brutal!

Started Taxotere question
I started taxotere 2 weeks ago. I was wondering if anyone can answer a couple of questions. When I had SBRT the oncologist told me that the treatment may make the cancer angry and cause pain in those spots being treated. I was wondering if the same would hold true for the taxotere causing pain in the

Kidney/Ureter/Bladder Reconstructive Surgery Recovery Time?
I don't' know what to expect for the recovery time and am thinking it will be similar to the
kidney
transplant
which was a pretty challenging recovery.

Hemodialysis
Does hemodialysis get better eventually? I have been doing since 07/13/2020 and still have emotional and physical problems. I am so tired afterwards but can't rest and end up crying from frustration I guess. Still got to do 3 things to get on Transplant list supposedly, it changes every month. Thank

Contrast dye
Hi, I've been offered an MRI for my pituitary and brain (my 4th). I've been told that it's essential to have contrast dye for this but due to many health issues, am really worried about this. Last time I was mostly in bed for over a year with bad dysautonomia/palpitations etc, but that may be unrelated

Is this real?
There are so many things racing in my head right now I don’t know where to start. I realize that I can no longer go on living with my existing condition. My father recently passed away in October. He was a liver transplant (2) survivor. He’s in a better place. I spent thanksgiving with my mother, along

Encouragement and a question
Hi. I've been waiting at home whilst my husband recovers from Covid. The history is: 5 weeks fully sedated ICU; tracheostomy fitted; 3 weeks to fully wake up; 2 weeks with MRSA; transfer to Renal unit for 3 weeks. Weakness on right side - no grip in hand and sore shoulder. Kidneys not working well

Secondary pneumonia- post covid/ventilator
Hi everyone, My dad is off the vent and off sedation. He is breathing on his own but still in the hospital. However, today they said his breathing was a bit laboured. They also said his white blood count was low. They are suspecting secondary bacterial pneumonia. They have already started treating it

Good protein for CKD?
I was stage 3. Now stage 2. Have reduced gfr by almost eliminating protein. I am looking to put protein back in diet. Which are the easiest proteins for kidneys to handle. ( besides egg whites and tofu) ??
