No. But I would let your transplant center nurse know right away.

My rule of thumb is to always report anything out of the ordinary to my transplant team, even if it seems insignificant.

WYOann is right report everything to your transplant team. I was going to take Turmeric, but I checked with my team & they said NO, It messes with your immune system. Something so simple as that, I run everything by my transplant team

Turmeric, That a new one, Stop tumeric totally or Tumeric in food is Ok ? Ally curry mixes have turmeric when you buy them from Costco...Thanks,

My transplant team dietician did not highlight that ..

I was going to take turmeric as a supplement. I guess I should ask as adding to food. I have some bone & joint issues..

Thanks Drdetroit for creating this Turmeric awareness, apparently it messes up Tacrolimus levels: here is NIH article I found, will check with my team too.

We are south asian Indians and turmeric is used in all food that we prepare. Its the basic ingredient. So far this has not caused any changes to my Tac levels. I do not take turmeric raw or as supplement though

Thinking more about the "warmness" you are feeling on your right side....I have had problems with the nerves around my transplant. For me it started as a severe itching, but I couldn't scratch it because it was inside. I wound up having 3 nerves in that area removed. Surgeon said they were entrapped and that wound up with the itching and later pain. The pain for me became intense lasting about 30 seconds, go completely away and come back again in 2-3 minutes.

Keep an eye on your "warm" feeling and see if it changes, becomes more intense, etc.

Make sure you report all to your transplant team.

Keep us posted.

I did make my transplant team aware of it, the good thing is it’s not doing it anymore. I think it was more gas then anything.
