Kidney Biopsy and igA nephropathy (UPDATE POST-BIOPSY)
Hi. I am due for a kidney biopsy next week and wasn't given much tips on what to prepare or not do post biopsy other than stay in bed for 6hrs. Doctor told me that I might have igAn based on my proteinuria and high hematuria. I am very concerned as I am only 24 years old and a female trying to start

Dialysis & MS-contin (Morphine)
I started dialysis 4 weeks ago and I’m up to 4 hour treatments. At 3 hours the ms-contin was ok, at 4 hours it bleeds off all ms-contin and I end up in excruciating pain for about 36 hours before I get the chronic pain under control. Has anyone gone through this or have any recommendations on other drugs

Jak2 test
Hello everyone, I am 24 years of age with a kidney disease called nephrotic syndrome. My GP called me last week to say she was concerned of how high my RBC count was. So she sent an urgent referral to haematologist and ordered my renal team to do a jak2 test which I had yesterday. I am so tired but

How a lung injury study helped inspire new COVID-19 drug trials.
When Anna Greka, an institute member at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and a physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, volunteered to help care for patients with COVID-19 at the peak of Boston’s springtime surge, she saw first-hand the severity of lung damage in seriously ill patients — and

Title :Enzalutamide and Niclosamide in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer
With all the interest in my last post I thought some might be interested in this: https://www.cureitt.com/trialdetails?nctid=NCT03123978 Maybe someone out there could explain the difference between niclosamide and Fenbendazole, they are both used for deworming dogs.

Nerve damage after kidney donation
I am a 5 year living donor. I have nerve damage that flares up from time to time. Does anyone else have this issue? My pain is usually in my lower back and left side where one of my incisions were. At first it was constant pain, no it just flares up from time to time with no clear cause as to why.

Biopsy results have me baffled
Got my biopsy results and he said it’s endo , which makes no sense as they have always been adamant I don’t have any. So I’ve had a hyesterctomy nearly two years ago for ovarian cysts and pain for years, and have been ok for a year and a half then agony and severe diaorhea. They thought I had kidney

Dialysis
I'm new to dialysis and I want to know what was it like did you feel tired? Did you feel better? Is it different for each person? I heard that you can get numb up before the technician insets the needle is this true? I want to hear about your experience with hemodialysis at the clinic. I would like

Consolidation run 🏃♀️ no 6
So I tried the stepping stones podcast today. I hated the music 🎼 and didn’t really understand the beats and found it difficult to hear it and keep focusing on it. Is it just me or have others found this? I also felt it was too fast for me so I really just ended up running at my own pace with Laura

Calprotectin in colon cancer
Hi everyone I understand calprotectin is quite a sensitive bio marker, albeit it quite non-specific for CRC. My question is, what is the likelihood of someone having CRC and returning a normal fecal calprotectin test? I’ve been having a tonne of bowel issues lately and am not in the best health right

Trying to get pregnant
Hi. I had a kidney transplant many years ago. My wife and I are trying to get pregnant and tests show that I have low sperm count and motility. Has anybody experienced difficulty getting pregnant due to this and if so, any recommendations?
