Trying to get pregnant

Hi. I had a kidney transplant many years ago. My wife and I are trying to get pregnant and tests show that I have low sperm count and motility. Has anybody experienced difficulty getting pregnant due to this and if so, any recommendations?

Hi there. My wife and did get pregnant about 8 years after my transplant and had a successful outcome. When we tried again a few years later, we had issues and after examination it turned out that I had low count and motility issues. The feedback was that they didn't think there was a relationship between my transplant or meds and these issues but it was clear that they were guessing and don't have much data on this. We were finally able to get pregnant through IVF though, so that may be an option?

Good luck!

Hi all, my advice is to avoid all wireless devices, keeping phone in pocket and sitting close to wifi and dect phone base stations should be avoided, theres more than enough evidence for this, also dect phones give off the sane radiation as mobiles, but you use them for longer periods.

Hi there. I know this post was from a couple years ago but I was wondering if you found out anything more about low sperm count causes? I had a transplant 6 months ago. We had three kids pre transplant that were very easy to conceive, and want to have one more, but just found out that my sperm count is pretty much nonexistent, so we are looking into possible causes and if it could have anything to do with the transplant, medications, etc. Talking to doctors it seems there's just not a lot of data on this as the pool of male transplant patients in conceiving age range is relatively small. Thanks!
