Nerve damage after kidney donation

I am a 5 year living donor. I have nerve damage that flares up from time to time. Does anyone else have this issue? My pain is usually in my lower back and left side where one of my incisions were. At first it was constant pain, no it just flares up from time to time with no clear cause as to why.

This was of great interest to me. I'm being tested now to see if I'm a match for a family member and the drs are concerned about post surgery pain for me because I already have chronic pain from a spinal injury. I'm happy to hear that your pain is only intermittent - that sounds manageable to me.
