Kidney failure stage 4 and am worried?
My mother had a kidney failure she's on stage 4, her GFR was 17% on December 2020, now its increased to 25% (UP & DOWN) she was prepared for kidney transplant (I am the donor) , but now the doctor postponed transplant until it goes down (below 20%), does she really need to do the transplant now or she

Kidney pain / frequent urination in endo?
Hi! I'm new to this forum so hope I'm asking in the right place... I haven't been diagnosed with endometriosis yet as I am still waiting to be seen at the hospital but it is expected. I'm so frustrated with the lack of support by my GP but it sounds like this is quite common amongst endo patients!

Scrotum swelling
I have this type of swelling in scrotum. This comes when I rest. When in standing position for long it goes away. Everytime I went to the doctor the swelling is absent because I would be not at rest position before going there. Scrotum usg show vericocele vein grade 1 only. This thing is there since

Made redundant after donating kidney.
One of the scoring criteria was absence and i scored 1/5 due to my time off for the
kidney
donation
. I have had no other time off at all with the company. I did challenge them on this and they were fully aware of the reasoning behind my time off.

Lupus life insurance is it possible!
Hi everyone, it’s been a very long time since I’ve posted anything on this forum. Hope you’re all as well as you can possibly be, if not I hope you feel better soon. I have a question for you all and although it’s through the possible worst pandemic this country has been through, I would like to ask

LSD acid on Dialysis
My teen is ESRD and has been for two years. He has also struggled with Leukemia, and anxiety/depression. He has a friend that's telling him to use LSD! He's been doing research online and he's convinced he wants to try it... I'm worried sick. I've seen online that acid is metabolized in the liver, so

Preparing for Transplant
Can anyone give me advice on how to prepare for transplant. My husband is listed and I feel like for me, organising things and getting ready goes a long way towards feeling emotionally prepared for it. I guess I might be a bit of a control freak, so I hate not knowing when and how everything will happen

Anyone been diagnosed with prerenal azotemia? Please be careful with Lisinopril. I have been taking this for a year and a half. Just had lab work and nephrologist said I had this. Have been taken off medication and hope renal function will come back. This is scary stuff. Only symptoms I had was occasional

Is there something we can do?
I feel that this forum mostly consists of people acknowledging each other’s struggles but more often than not without any real answers or solutions (because we just don’t have them) and in a similar way to how reddit got together to change Wall Street with investments, or BLM protested and got the worlds

Peripheral Neuropathy in feet
Hi everyone. I have painful , numb feet due to PN for about a year. Did not improve during dialysis and now that I recently had a kidney transplant I am hoping there may be some change? Treating it with pregabalin for the pain. Has anybody else had the same and found any improvement?

Existing heart failure drug may treat potential COVID-19 long-hauler symptom.
In a new study out of University of California San Diego School of Medicine, researchers found a drug used for heart failure improves symptoms associated with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, otherwise known as POTS. This complex, debilitating disorder affects the body’s autonomic nervous system

22month old daughter holding her poop
Hello all, newly joined as a pediatrician we visit recommended we have a look. In short, my daughter chronically holds her poo, especially when it gets harder. She is 22months old and we've been dealing with this since she had a scary/painful poo around 6months. Currently treating with picosulphate
