If you read the forum guidelines for the BLT, they state that blood results & photos should not be posted on this forum. No- one is qualified to interpret them. For the record no hepatologist ever uses nails as a diagnostic tool.

True and even someone says “yes look like terry nails” still no guarantee that that person is right

You mention that your bloods came back normal. I think that's a far more important indicator than your nails. Unless you are experiencing any symptoms, I would go with what your doctor says. Have you spoken with the doctor who ordered the blood test?

I've done the blood test on my own decision, but they are normal

You should get a proper set of bloods off your doctor and a physical examination, whilst Terry's Nails are not used as a diagnostic tool for liver disease any more but your nails do show some significant change so you should see your doctor and get this assessed.I hate to point out but it is possible to have bloods within a normal range even with fairly advanced liver disease and therefore bloods are only one part of the jigsaw puzzle when assessing for liver disease.

I had tons of blood tests as I have couple of symptoms but nothing shows in my blood tests, I've done cbc's, ANA, Ena, kidney function test, crp, diabetes tests, Esr, etc, but nothing shows.Symptoms : tingling, hair fall, joint pain, ear ringing, muscles pain, etc.

Am 29 years old, visited all kind of doctors with nothing

Has your doctor seen your nails? Have you had any body scans? Have you had full antibody tests for auto immune conditions?A few of your symptoms might point to auto immune issues.

I am not a doctor just throwing some suggestions out there, you may have had all these tests but I wouldn't just be letting it be even if you've had loads of tests they have obviously not discovered YET what your issue is.

Best wishes,

Katie

Yes Ana and Ena are auto immune tests and they are negative, I had altrasound scan with no results, no my doctor did not see my nails

The problem is partly down to the fact that your " symptoms" are very vague. Why assume it's your liver? Maybe it's your thyroid or something else. Obviously I have no idea, but the symptoms you list do not suggest liver to me & I have lived with an autoimmune liver problem for many years. Again because we aren't medically qualified we can only offer advice within our own experience. I don't know what to suggest other than the helpline who could perhaps help a lot more since they can ask questions & talk through these issues with you.

Am assuming liver because of my nails they are, I went to the lab to check my liver, kidneys because my nails are white and the tests came back normal

As Katie has already said, normal results are possible even with advanced disease. Usually if the drs feel there is something to investigate, then you would have an ultrasound. Dr Google is not your friend, it can be very misleading. The helpline will be a much better bet.

It is possible that something like psoriasis could alter your nails.

Good luck🙂

With the symptoms you say you have, it sounds to me more like calcium deficiency. Up your daily intake of dairy products, nuts and fish but cut down on coffee and alcohol. Speak to your GP, let him/her see your nails and tell him/her your symptoms ... joint, muscle pain, tingling etc.Good luck !

Unfortunately the symptoms you mention can occur with many conditions, but are not commonly linked with liver or kidney issues. Possibly initial investigation into things like vitamin D, B12 and iron deficiency, which can result in such symptoms could be a good place to start. Other than that, if you are convinced that liver and kidney issues are the cause, despite no relevant abnormal blood tests, scans are the only answer, which is obviously an expensive outlay, particularly if not actually necessary. Hopefully your GP will be of assistance in finding the cause/causes of your evidently worrying symptoms.

circulation problems can also result in white nails and neuropathy.

Clenching your fingers like that can cut off blood supply and your nails turn white.Your thumbs not clenched and its nail is a normal colour!
