Do I really want a second baby at 40/41?
Our story is a bit of a complex one. We need to do IVF in order to conceive. We were very lucky as we had our daughter from our first round when I was 37. But for our second, we have had 3 failed rounds so far. Im now 40 and I wonder if I should keep trying. If we keep trying and are successful on

IVF Cycle Failure/Fertility Diet
Hi - my first cycle of IVF has resulted in a negative pregnancy test. I had 10 follicles, 6 eggs retrieved, 3 mature, 2 fertilised & 1 early blastocyst which was transferred. I was on 450iu Meriofert with Ganerilix. If your first cycle failed what did you change for the second? I'm due to go again

I was diagnosed with PMR in June 2014. Over a period of about 7 years I managed to come off prednisone but after a time the PMR returned. Since 2022 I have managed to get down to 7mg daily and then have a flare. Back to 10 down to 8 and another flare. I live in France and it seems PMR is not as common

More pessimistic this cycle-tips for staying sane?
Hi, I appreciate I am not in a position to complain or panic at all because for IVF #2 things are actually going pretty well. And yet I'm far more anxious than I was for my first cycle. As a bit of background I got 15 eggs for IVF#1 and 13 fertilised. My clinic didn't do Day 3 updates so I excitedly

More tests/ moving clinic / Dr.Shehata
So an update: After another failed implantation in Dec I’ve just had my follow up consultation with my clinic. I really like the consultant, she works both nhs & private. I think she works at the Lister , so I may follow her there. She has also recommended the fertility clinic at UCLH London .

Feeling so deflated
Sorry to complain but am just feeling so lost with all this TTC stuff. Been trying now for 5 years and just recovering from my 2nd missed miscarriage (just a sac, no yolk sac or embryo seen). My previous missed miscarriage was the same, didn't get past 5/6 weeks with nothing in the sac. I've also had

Rising PSA
Going into 7 years. No prostate. ADT on and off. Recently while on Lupron & NUBEQA PSA continues to rise. Now at 10.1 and Testosterone nondectable. PSMA/PET/CT scan last weeks states no metastases present. We meet with Dr. Aggarwal next week. Last month at our visit he told us at this point “Scans

Hi.....again
Hi everyone, My partners liver cirrhosis had disappeared - to look at him you wouldn't know anything was wrong, he's on medication and for a while everything was good. Now he's developing a hard tummy again, I'm now worried that something is very wrong as he hasn't drank since he went to hospital back

Hello . I was diagnosed with mild to moderate MVR last November . No symptoms other than slight breathlessness . Yesterday on another echocardiogram I was informed I have AF - no symptoms at all . Hello ladies I had my transfer on 2/5. (First IVF cycle). I had a failed IUI in September 2023 without explanation. I am currently in my 2WW and I’ve had cramps(stomach pulling), worse at night & nausea here and there. I was extremely tired within the first week but this week I’ve been feeling okay

Back to back pick-up cycles- any thoughts?
Hi all, I'm 37, and had my IVF pick-up on 4th Feb. Got only 2 Blastocysts, so been advised another round of pick-up. My doctor says I can do it right away (short protocol starting Day 2 of periods I'm expecting any day now), but a friend who has gone through something similar says her doctor advised

What causes autoimmune diseases?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpZhLQXp__g I don't often post Youtube videos but I was much impressed by this lecture by Dr Peter Osborne and felt the need to share it. This is quite a long lecture (1 hour 50 mins) by an expert in autoimmune diseases who has rather unconventional views on the subject

Folic Acid does not cause PA
I saw this article with responses about the consumption of folic acid. What do people think about the responses? Especially the one who says that there shouldn't be a limit to the amount of folic acid taken. https://www.bmj.com/content/329/7479/1376/rapid-responses I have been taking 5mg folic acid

Fatty Liver -Pain
Hi, I have had NAFLD for several years but have just started to get pain with it. I think it may have moved to NASH and possibly fibrosis or cirrhosis (nothing has confirmed that officially yet). I had a blood test and the doctor said that the liver function number was raised more so than usual. It
