Coarsened Hepatic Echotexture
This finding is from the newest elastography. I thought I was doing everything right. KPA in 2022 was 10.5 F2-F.3, now it's 5.5 F0-F0-F1. I quit drinking alcohol in 2020, went on Mediterranean diet, and walk 1-3 miles per day. The only vice I have is baked goods, cookies, cake, and candy. 2022

Discoid Lupus
Hello Everyone, I have been suffering with discoid lupus for 5 years now. i have had some pretty nasty flare ups since being diagnosed. One flare up resulted in having to spend 2 weeks in hospital. I recently had another flare up… After nearly 12 months in remission… And I started to get bald patches

Supporting Egg Quality
Hello All,We went through our first cycle of IVF in Jan and we are planning our next round in July. The first round we went in very naively and rather blind in terms of body/mind preparation. I have tried to guide myself as much as I can but I wondered what you could add to what I am doing. I am on

GP appointment and blood tests - will recent steroid injection skew results?
Afternoon everyone, I had a GP appointment yesterday to discuss my symptoms. Went through everything that has happened since the summer. She sent me for blood tests today which included CRP, ESR, Rheumatoid factor and various other tests relating to autoimmune conditions. She insisted I call back for

Synacthen Test
Hi, I received a letter from my Rheumatologist saying that my cortisol levels are normal following the Synacthen test 2 weeks ago. It says it is now safe to stop taking steroids. My question is, as i have been on steroids for over 5 years should i just stop or continue reducing. I am now taking 2.5mg

TUBAL SURGERY
Hi 👋 Anyone know where I can get tubal surgery to unblock both fallopian tubes. Our ivf has failed and I do not want to go through this ever again but the doctor left us with no other choice or options. I can't go through all these drugs again it's too much for me I wish everyone a successful outcome

Greece IVF buddy for April 2024?
Hi I am from the UK and about to start my first ever ICSI in Greece in April 2024 and wondered if anybody else will be in Greece in a similar situation? Thought it could be nice to have a local buddy for general chitchat and support? 🙂 #Greece #icsi #firsttime

rheumatoid arthritis
Hi I’m Lynne. I’ve had Rheumatoid Arthritis for around 5 years. I’m on (tocilizumab) and Methotrexate injections once a week plus 10 mg steroids . I’ve had lots of falls because of my knee giving way. I’m trying to build up my muscles but finding this difficult because I’ve got a tear in shoulder from

Donor egg resentment
I met my husband late in life and we only had sex after marriage. Married at age 43. He has a medical background so was aware of fertility pressures. We both dont have children. However 1st 6 months of marriage he didn’t have sex with me until I threatened to leave him. He finally told me he has low

Hemorrhoids from higher cholesterol
I thought I'd ask if this is common for other people. I suspect my Hemorrhoids have got quite bad as a result of slightly underactive thyroid. My cholesterol is mildly high - 5.7 when it should be below 5. Also I have gilberts syndrome which is high bilirubin. When I fasted or went more than 6 hrs without

Natural FET
Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any experience of a natural FET? I have had 3 rounds of IVF, 5 transfers, one embryo didn’t thaw and never had a BFP. Previously, the hormone meds (prognova, cyclogest, etc) have made me feel really ill - sore heads and sick - and as my periods are totally regular

Radiation after Docetaxel
My dad finished chemo Docetaxel in November 2023. In December his PSA was .61. In February it jumped to 2.3. He went for a PET scan. He went back to the doctor today his PSA jumped to 6. The scan showed that many of the metastasis in his bones shrunk are almost gone. There is one spot in his back that

Which option? Poor stims response
Hi I’d love to know if anyone has been in a similar situation and what you chose to do. 2nd IVF cycle. First cancelled as 3 follicles growing very slowly. This round, day 6 scan was 7 follicles but les than 6mm. Day 8 scan 4 have grown, 3 slightly to 7mm and one has gone to 19mm. We have three options

We understand....
In my initial bio, I related to you that I had PBC for some 20 years before receiving a life saving liver transplant almost 19 years ago. In about 25% of those with liver transplants the PBC returns. We have to remember that our body still has the tendency to 'attack' it's own bile ducts and bile duct

Day 5 of stims
Hi,I'm on day 5 of stims for my first IVF cycle (and started ganirelix today as well). Anybody else at a similar stage? I have my first monitoring scan and blood test tomorrow and am excited but nervous. It feels as though the novelty of daily injections has already worn off (not helped by the fact that

Weight problems and insensitive people
I've been so self conscious since gaining so much weight from my underactive thyroid that I'm basically a hermit in my own home, I barely go outdoors, for fear of being called up on my weight gain, or "looking well". Today I decided to go outdoors only to bump into an old acquaintance who couldn't resist

Depression and IVF
(Sensitive) I find my mental health hard to manage. We have been struggling too much in TTC and only disappointment after disappointment. I try hard but find it hard to have hope. I am already having therapy, but so far I don't feel much different. I am thinking of asking medications to doctor to help

9DPT BFN
Have a 5 year old girl. Wanted to give her sibling. Had second embryotransfer. 1st cycle ended up in ectopic pregnancy and I decided to remove both tubes in view of IVF. Maybe wrong decision as it took away my minimal chances of falling naturally. This day I am 9dpt and for a bfn. I guess I m out
