Radiation after Docetaxel

My dad finished chemo Docetaxel in November 2023. In December his PSA was .61. In February it jumped to 2.3. He went for a PET scan. He went back to the doctor today his PSA jumped to 6. The scan showed that many of the metastasis in his bones shrunk are almost gone. There is one spot in his back that only shrunk a little that the doctor thinks is giving him trouble and causing the high PSA. They are going to do 10 rounds of radiation over a two week. Anyone else has success with this?? Otherwise they are going to move onto pluvicto

In my opinion, radiation is better. Probably it’s going to be SBRT radiation. Keep drinking water

Learn about dosage and see if they can do high dosage and also do multiple beam blast

A radiation for 10 days is probably not SBRT. I recommend SBRT because this provides good control of the mets while standard RT is usually intended to just mitigate bone pain.

My PSA went up from un detectable to 2.77. I did 5 rounds of radiation (SBRT) to one spot on T 10. In three months PSA is back down to 0.16.

In June 2017 I had SBRT to two lesions on my spine. So far I have not had a recurrence.
