Understand Your Blood Work
this is from a Canadian PBC Society PBC FACT SHEET (09/02/16) (may vary by lab) ALP Alkaline Phosphatase This enzyme occurs mainly in liver cells next to bile ducts, and in bone. The blood level is raised in PBC and is the main enzyme that is checked to see if you have a response to treatment

Follicle Numbers
Hi everyone, I have just started the stims for my first IVF cycle. I had my follicle count today and it was much lower than my last (8 & 4) I wonder if the number of follicles in folks first scan at the start of STIMS always ends up the same at the end or can I grow more? sorry I'm just a bit disappointed

Hi, I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant via ivf with my 5th embryo transfer. Have previously had multiple losses via natural pregnancy and ivf. Last night I went to the loo and had a little pink/red blood on the tissue about the size of 50p. Since then it has just been brown spotting only when wiping. I've

I Had A Stroke
Last week I had an ischemic stroke. It affected my right leg and right arm/hand. I woke up to a heavy arm and heavy leg but my face, smile, and speech were unaffected. It got progressively worse throughout the day and I went to the ER 9 hours after I woke up. I should have gone to the ER right after

AF and MAD
anyone else have AF and MAD (mitral annular disjunction) . It was picked up during cardiac MRI. The displacement is 5mm, mild mitral valve prolapse and regurgitation. Neither my cardiologist or EP have said anything about it apart from put me on another very long waiting list to see a more specialist

Anyone read much about Thyroid and Alzheimer's connection?
Found a few papers which suggest they are linked and I wondered what the treatment is for Alzheimer's? Brother just been diagnosed but I know his fT3 is low and he doesn't convert T4 well

Ivf through NHS
Hello everyone, I'm 39 years old, nearing the age limit, and thinking about starting IVF treatment with the NHS. Can anyone provide an estimate of how long it might take before we could begin the process? I turn 40 at the end of the year, so time is a factor. I would appreciate your advice on this matter

I’ve had up and down liver enzymes for 10 years since having my first child. I have 3 children now. I’ve had scans and yearly blood work. I’ve had autoimmune blood work as well as hep a b c ran. Everything comes back ok. No fat seen in the ultrasound as of yet. Idk 🤷🏻♀️ I’m about 10 lbs overweight

SSR today - just looking for other experiences
Hi all, my husband had his surgical sperm retrieval recently in the form of TESA as well as biopsies. They found sperm in a few different places but plenty of good sperm from the biopsied tissue. We got a total of 8 vials to be frozen which they said is good news. We don’t really know what this

Finished my 6th and final Pluvicto and am now getting lab results. My nuclear medicine doc made a judgement call to give me a full
