Hi ladies, not been following these groups for a while as had total hysterectomy in 2016 removing uterus and ovaries after many years of pain with stage 4 endo on womb, bowel and pouch of douglas. Went on HRT and have gradually got better since -until about 6 months ago. The symptoms I used to suffer with (wind, bloating, ibs type pains & symptoms) seem to have returned. GP has prescribed me mebeverene and referred me to bowel specialist but know that will take a while! Was wondering if anyone had had similar issues, I am nearly 45 and wondered if was nearing my natural menopause age and if this might be causing it?

What HRT are you on and was the hysterectomy/BSO done in a specialist endo centre with prior imaging and thorough excision of all known endo at the time?
Hi, sorry to hear you’re suffering again.Unfortunately I’m suffering with similar symptoms too, I also had total hysterectomy with everything removed (with a endo specialist) I was also referred to a bowel specialist last year, had a colonoscopy, found a few things there, including adhesions from endo. Then in Dec last year had another laparoscopy, luckily no endo found, but now the same pain has returned. I’m 48 and taking Tibolone the synthetic HRT they give you after ovaries are removed, my menopause is bad and I don’t want to take one with high oestrogen just in case some endo was hidden around my body and it causes more pain. It could be that we are nearer our natural menopause age, it’s so difficult to know. I guess we just have to hope our GP’s can help and keep talking to each other, maybe someone suggests something great that works 🤞🏻🙏🏻
