Ivf at 39
I so long for a baby and being 40 later on in the year kinda limits my attempts on
ivf
. Just wondering if there's anyone on here who went through
ivf
at 39 and had a first time success? Also did you feel bloated, tired, headachey and get tight stomach during the process of doing injections?

Life journeys and what I have learned
We had already gone to a few adoption meetings and decided that if
IVF
didn't work, we will go for adoption. Now that we have decided no more
IVF
and not using the two frozen eggs (gosh it hurts to write this sentence 😣), I have the dream of becoming a foster family to some kid.

Over the years, we have had quite a number of members who have had experience of
IVF
. Some of these posts have been very concerning - e.g. ignoring substantially elevated TSH, GPs unwilling to co-operate with
IVF
clinics re thyroid hormone dosing, etc.

Experiences going self funded on NHS vs transferring to private clinic?
We have recently had an unsuccessful
IVF
cycle funded by NHS. Where we live you only get 1 transfer from such cycle + freezing of embryos included.

Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy D&C polypectomy - Help!
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has had the above procedures and whether this helped them get pregnant either naturally or through
IVF
? My gynaecologist has recommended the above but I’m worried it could make getting pregnant more difficult. Any success stories?? Thank you! x x

Day 7 stims - are these symptoms normal?
I'm undergoing my first cycle of
IVF
and I'm on day 7 of stims. Over the past couple of days I've really not been hungry and have had moderate and pretty constant period like pains across my lower abdomen.

Ectopic and 2 failed IVF
Following this I had 2 rounds of
IVF
and also insisted on having a HyCoSy to check the other tube was OK. It was, thankfully. In the first round of
IVF
we got 2 eggs, but they unfortunately didn't fertilise. We weren't given any explanation and were gutted with the outcome.

I am planning my second

Time off stress - first FET
My line manager has also been through
IVF
(worked first time) and I feel pressure from her. She said she was back to normal and went to an exercise class not long after her transfer but this was during the school holidays so not the same situation.

Hormone concerns prior to ICSI
HiWe are due to start out first
IVF
/ICSI next month. I privately have been doing my own investigations as our GP and NHS is terrible in our area and I have been having symptoms of concern. We are referred for ICSI due to poor morphology but also I am 36 and AMH 6.25.

Small uterine polyp 6.5mm and continuing with FET? Any success stories
Went to a new clinic for
IVF
, explained about the scarring, no concerns until a few days before my egg collection was due, they thought it could be a polyp around 5.5mm and said as it's smaller than the 1cm that NICE recommend is removed I could go ahead with a transfer or do a freeze all and have a

Another emotional Day
Hi Everyone I’m day 4 post egg transfer, has been my worse day so for being emotional during my whole
IVF
journey . I’ve spend most of the day crying, which was triggered with a run in with my sister. Feel like now I’ve stressed myself too much & ruined my chance of my embryo implanting.

NHS delay first IVF cycle
So, my period arrived today (meh). I was told by my NHS clinic that when this happened I needed to call up and book in for a AFC scan to get the treatment process started. Only when I did this today I was told the clinic was too full and I had to try again next month!! I mean, what the actual? This process
