HiWe are due to start out first IVF/ICSI next month. I privately have been doing my own investigations as our GP and NHS is terrible in our area and I have been having symptoms of concern. We are referred for ICSI due to poor morphology but also I am 36 and AMH 6.25.
So far I have found that on a day 21 test I have normal levels of estradiol but low progesterone and testosterone. So I have low pH/E2 meaning my body is acting like I am in estrogen dominance. I also started on Levothyroxine after finding subclinical hypothyroidism and the presence of antibodies indicative of hashimotos. This helps explain symptoms that are occuring such as poor sleep, fatigue, low heart rate, low respiratory rate, dizziness.
The 100mg Levothyroxine has definitely aided some symptoms. But I am concerned with the recent finding on Pg/E2 and the impact on ICSI.
I was just wondering if anyone has had similar difficulties and what you did or were prescribed. I am already gluten, dairy and sugar free. Stopped caffeine in the run up to ICSI and take a lot of good supplements (prenatal, ubiquinol, vit e, l arginine, vit d). Having acupuncture. It's because of this that I feel I need more medical help to support my hormonal help but it's very hard to get the doctors particularly on NHS to adjust their standard protocol.
