Confused about Thyroid and IBS tablets??
Ok so not sure if this should be posted on Thyroid or IBS page but I'll start here and go from there as I know they can go hand in hand. I have been taking Levothyroxine since 2001 ish and also been treating IBS flare ups on and off for nearly as many years! At present I'm taking -100 Levothyroxin.

Hello everyone, I suffer horrendously with instant gas, gut noise and cramps after eating along with horrendous trapped wind which is very painful and embarrassing. I’ve given up, gluten, dairy, refined sugars and carbs and nothing helps. I had endo removed my bowel last year and ever since it seems

Diagnosed with IBS
Hi everyone, This week after 2 visits to the doctor I have been diagnosed with IBS, after telling the doctor my symptoms she straight away said IBS. Other than the diagnosis and a suggestion to buy Mebeverine tablets, she basically said off you go and deal with it yourself. I'm now thinking surely

Mebeverine
Hi I've been prescribed Mebeverine and told to only take when I have IBS? Pain, with paracetamol. I think it does help but sometimes when pain is really bad, paracetamol is not really strong enough. I have been advised I can take co-dydramol but haven't tried this yet. Can anyone advise on how often

IBS is going to be the end of me
It started 1 year ago. I was 26 and had already suffered for 2 years with an extremely impairing disease (intrinsic rhinitis) which got so bad that I almost couldn't breath, spending my days gasping for air, and living reclused in my dark-lit bedroom. After 2 surgeries and finally breathing again, proving

More than one antispasmodic med
Is it normal to be put on 2 different antispasmodic meds at the same time? I've been on Mebeverine for about a month and I don't feel any benefit so I say my GP today and told him the constant pain isn't easing at all, so he's put me on Alverine too! He told me to keep taking the Mebeverine as well?

I am not managing and I need help
Hi everyone! I have been having problems for a couple of years but I was only diagnosed with IBS 7months ago. Since then it’s only been getting worse and my doctor in the UK hasn’t been able to help me very much. I am taking mebeverine but it feels like it’s a sort of placebo... my life is a nightmare
