Rhinitis Medicamentosa/A.F./Hip Replacement
Hi, I am about to have a consultation assessment for a hip replacement and having already posted about my concern with having to stop my Flecainide (150mg x 2) pre-op and being scared of going into A.F. prior or during the op. -my other big problem is having used Otrivine type nasal decongestant sprays

Neuro Behcet's and surgery.
I'm being investigated for headaches which I have had for a couple of months. I'm having an MRI (brain) in a couple of days to see if anything shows up, then I will see the neurologist. If it turns out to be neuro Behcet's, as I have a diagnosis of Behcet's anyway, I'm wondering if it may affect my hip

hip replacement & taking Flecainide 150mg x 2
Hi everyone - I have been on Flecainide 150mg twice daily for nearly a year now (increased from 100mg x 2) and thus far the A.F episodes (17 in 2022) have ceased. My problem now is I am facing the prospect of hip replacement surgery & wonder if anyone else has experienced this and did they have to stop

Hi all, so I have managed to get down to 5.5 after raising for a week to 10 as thought I was having a flare.Itās difficult to tell if the pain in thighs is a flare or due to the arthritis in my hip. Iām having a hip replacement at the end of next month. My question is should I stay on 5.5 u till after

Private dexa scan
Hi all, I am 37 and been perimenopausal for well over a year. My mother has arthritic hips and knees which resulted in a double hip replacement a decade ago. Is it worth getting a dexa scan now? If it is; is there anywhere in the South West I can get one done privately?

Hip pain 3 years after repkacement
I had a hip replacement 3 years ago which according to my consultant was successful. Since then I have experienced pain in my lower back above the buttocks on that side.I have seen my consultant twice since and he just says the hip replacement was fine. I often have to stop and sit down whilst out walking

Hello I'm new here.
I was going to wait to poast until I had my test results but here I am. Just been told I have autoimmune thyroiditis. Don't think it's Hashi's because I don't think there's a goitre, but I was told a few years ago that my inner throat was swollen because of waterbrash (stomach acid coming up the oesophagus

Running after Hip Replaced
Hi, unfortunately after completing the program I had to have a total hip replacement. I have been told that due to this my running days are over ( not that I was actually much of a runnerā¦more a very slow jogger!) but I just wondered what other peopleās experiences are?

I was recently diagnosed with afib and am taking Eliquis and propofenone. I am scheduled for a hip replacement in two weeks and am wondering if having afib makes the surgery more dangerous. Thanks for any advice or info.
