can thyroid disease cause sore throat, throast discomfort and tension in neck/face?
As my blood results were in normal ranges (expect B12, D, ferratin,
iron
and folic acid which were all low), my GP said I can have a follow up in the future and gave me vitamin supplements. I was still concerned so saw a ENT specialist privately.

Low iron levels in blood test
Just had a call from A&E who gave me a blood test last night to say my
iron
levels were low and I should make an appt with my GP as soon as possible. Very perplexing because I take a daily B12 supplement and eat a varied diet which is cooked from scratch.

Continued success with Vitamin B1
I still take a multivitamin, a vitamin d and a magnesium tablet on a morning as well as 64mg of
iron
on an evening before bed. I did also sometimes use a magnesium spray but have not needed to for a good month or so.

Are my bloods ‘normal no action’? I don’t feel normal!
My GP says my bloods are normal on thyroid tests and
Iron
and I don’t need any treatment.

CKD new diagnosis.
Recently had bood and
iron
transfused due to severe Anaemia. HG 72 They also did blood and urine tests and told me I had CKD Stage 3 which was a complete shock, and has left me scared and confused.

( **Individual B12 or

supplement use during chemotherapy may be significantly associated with poorer outcomes) "Ice baths for hands & feet" Information would be greatly appreciated on studies being done, or perhaps what others have found to be helpful. thank you

Microvascular angina and iron deficiency
I started heme
iron
supplements 4weeks ago and I have started to feel short of breath/air hungry. I am interested to know; a)If there is a link between MVA and
iron
deficiency b)If breathlessness can be a side effect of starting Heme

A year on
I am on
iron
as well. Latest test now shows white blood cell count is low- which it never has been before. So tomorrow I am off to cancer/haematology specialist to discuss that. I suspect it could be due to having osteoarthritis in the hip (highest category for surgery, been waiting for a year).

Getting there, but slowly
He's also just run a more fancy liver blood screen, repeated the
iron
panel (
iron
was fine, btw) and is checking the haemochromotis marker. Last time I had a liver function test it was all fine and with that and the ultrasound coming back ok I'm hoping the latest liver panel is fine.

Is this right or should I request a second opinion?
Results came back as low
iron
, low Vit D and low T4. THS was normal. Doctors notes was possibly hypothyroid but seek GP advice. Doctor wanted to wait for
iron
supplements etc which I’ve done and taken regular as clockwork. Started HRT (on docs request) and bloods redone show the same low T4.

I bought a gentle
iron
supplement as recommended on the forum but I haven't started it yet. Should I also hold off starting it until I get results of my PA tests ie does supplementing
iron
/ ferritin interfere with test for PA? Many thanks

NHS 'guidelines' preventing my GP prescribing for hypothyroidism - help please!
was adamant that my thyroid was functioning correctly and said unable to prescribe due to NHS parameters but would test my thyroid and
iron
and liver etc in 3 months as it would be too dangerous to begin medication in any case.

medicinal mushrooms ??
I am just embarking on a course of
iron
to get my ferritin levels up, that might be a solution for me. If not, however, I might be interested to try this - as far as I can see it’s all entirely legal and non chemical - interesting maybe? https://hifasdaterra.com/en/blog/restless-leg-syndrome/
