bioavailable broad spectrum multi vit?
Multivits - I know, I know, I don’t use them myself, but my partner likes them and his cheap supply from H&B has run out. If he’s going to take them it would be better if he found a decent one . He’s 60 and his health hasn’t been so good this year. He’s not diagnosed hypothyroid but his TSH has been

Another iron IV/hydro post - been in hospital last night
Hey all,I had iron infusion on Monday. During it, I had anaphylactic shock (tight chest, couldn't breathe) and was injected with 100 mg hydrocortisone (thanks to this, they were able to finish the IV). I woke up on Tuesday morning feeling incredibly warm and with a lot of energy. My vision got sharper

Iron infusion
I had an iron infusion 10 days ago .I'm taking 1800mg gabapentin over 3 doses and taking fumarate oral iron x 2 x 325 mg . My symptoms have reduced and my energy and mood is improving significantly over the week. My body was not absorbing the oral iron at all so the infusion was advised by neurology.

Iron infusion & over symptoms
Hey all,I was wondering if anyone experienced thyroid overmedication symptoms after iron IV? It's day 3 today, I have much better energy, but also feel jittery and hot at times. I assume iron is making the cellular absorption better and increases conversion. I'll probably do another ft4 ft3 test soon

Consultation with Prof Walker
So I had a private consultation with Prof Walker last month. I used to take 0.25g ropinorol some time back and went up to 0.5g and felt that I was augmenting so came off it. Managed for some time without medication but over lockdown/menopause the RLS became much worse so I went onto Gapapentin. Although

Hi,I have been using Ovestin 1mg for 18 months. I am 64 and went through the menopause 10 years ago. My GP is quite happy to keep issuing repeat prescriptions but I am wondering if it is safe to keep using indefinitely. I have not suffered any side effects so far and have not found anything on the

Iron Bisglycinate
I have deleted my previous post while I contact manufacturers to determine when they sell bottles of iron bisglycinate that say for example 25 mg whether that means 25 mg of iron bisglycinate or 25 mg of elemental iron, so for now ignore my previous post while I explore this and other things that were

Stomach acid
hi again, Haven’t been diagnosed yet as I am waiting to get bloods off next week. I had posted here last week re my May results. My question is, would thyroid treatment (if needed) increase my very low stomach acid? I have had in past been treated for folate, b12 and iron, which I still take but

Fatigue
Good Day Everyone My question is, should I be feeling fatigued with lymphocytes around 43 and haemoglobin at 12.1 g/dl or could the fatigue be caused by some other blood deficiency such as iron or vitamin B12. Thanks very much Ken

Thyroid, anemia, cortisol and fake menopause - iron IV on Monday
Hey everyone,I have been struggling recently with a lot of symptoms, mainly crushing fatigue to the point of dizziness and blurry vision. After years of trying different meds, it is now clear I don't tolerate meds because of other factors. I clearly need higher dose of thyroid meds, but they don't work

What vitamin supplements to take alongside B12 injections?
Hi all - I'm currently on monthly injections for PA but still feel tired every morning even after a good nights sleep; low energy days; trouble focusing etc - sure you'll all be familiar with the symptoms! I've had several further blood tests and vitamin D and iron deficiencies have been identified

Ongoing anemia
Hello, I am thinking if my wife has ongoing anemia due to a bleed the Drs can't or won't find. Why wait for four months to give her red blood cells when she last had RBC transfusion 4 months ago it brought her Hgb up to 115, then three months ago had iron infusion. Which didn't really increase her Hgb

Thalassemia: Lessons in Perseverance and Compassion
As I reflect on my life with transfusion-dependent beta-thalassemia (thal), it is easy to become overwhelmed. In short, thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder where the body is unable to produce hemoglobin, which causes severe anemia and endless complications. In 1973, when I was diagnosed at 14
