Do you mean Transferrin Saturation? I think each laboratory has slightly different procedures and thus slightly different reference ranges. My Transferrin Saturation was 18 at my last blood test, which is slightly below the range my lab uses (normal range 20-55), and is not normal for me because I generally am within normal range. I have just had acute pneumonia so it has thrown all my readings out for the moment, and I am not worrying about it right now. It's not far out of range. But, in all honesty, if you get a reading within the normal range for whatever lab has processed your blood tests then I think you should try to accept that it is indeed normal. If you still have concerns then of course raise them with your doctor, but in the meantime please try to take comfort that you have had a result within normal range. Wishing you well.

Thank you for your reply and I hope you are ok now. Yes I did mean transferrin saturation as 18 % but also my Tibc is high at 79 and I m not sure what it all means.
