Iodine urine test do's and dont's?
My partner did two of these tests already and had strange results, the first test came back over 300 and the second 600, the range is up to 200, she is not aware of taking anything with
iodine
in it since stopping 4 drops of
Iodine
per day back in mid sept.

N.I.C.E to stop the use of Lyiothronine (T3 ) prescribing
This is an absolute disgrace, it is obvious that it is a cost cutting move, so what about people like me who have no thyroid (destroyed completely by radioactive
iodine
) and need T3 in addition to Levo, with T3 being prescribed by my very supportive NHS Endo.

Update after hysterectomy for adenomyosis
I posted here just over a week ago with the background and my pre-operative anxieties: https://healthunlocked.com/endometriosis-uk/posts/150262788/adenomyosis-should-i-have-hysterectomy so I thought I'd update. When I went in to hospital I was still quite ambivalent and fearful. But when I talked to

Constant uncomfortable feeling
I'm hoping anyone out there can reach out. I was diagnosed with endometriosis 10 years ago and had 3 laparoscopies with the last one removing my left ovary and tube over 3 years ago. For the past month or so the pain is gradually getting worse. I'm worried that this will be the norm as its feels too

New research. Linking Amiodarone inhibiting levothyroxine just published.
This risk is elevated in
iodine
-deficient regions. Levothyroxine is the standard treatment for patients with hypothyroidism.

Selenium Transport Impairment - A Novel Form of Hypothyroidism
It presents with low urine
iodine
. I believe impaired deiodinase (D2) presents a special problem because it regulates local T3 levels near the cell nucleus, T3 saturation at receptors.

No stamina
I am confident I have my thyroid hormones at right level and most of my symptoms are gone. I am slowly losing weight, alert, happy, skin is better. My arthritis plays up hence the inflammation but my main issue is lack of stamina. I can only really do one thing a day after which I am wiped out and need

Are vitamins essential and do they need to be optimum even if I appear to not have autoimmune thyroid illness (post radio

due to overactive thyroid). Thank you

Vitamin C and B12
Despite weekly injections of b12 my blood results show that I am only mid range and I am still symptomatic. I take codeine for arthritic pain and with this I take about 4000 mg of vitamin C to alleviate constipation. Is the vit C helping rid my body of B12 and if so can I just increase my injections

CT scan iodine query
This uses
iodine
based dye to show up the arteries. My question is, would that type of
iodine
(guessing it's a compound) impact my thyroid at all?

Remifentanil / Fentanyl allergies in Lupus??? Or multiple allergies in Lupus??
I also had similar reactions to other drugs like dexamethasone and
iodine
for contrast dye infusions. These two were all post pregnancy. Has any one had reaction to drugs who are lupus or SLE, be great to compare notes . Or multiple drug allergies.

Bizarre Thyroid Quote from 1941

Severe RLS Where do I go now?
Hi! I've been lurking reading your posts for a couple of years. I live in Sweden and am a 58 yo female and have severe burning RLS without PLMD. Here's a condensed version of my story: July 2011 Laminectomy C4-C5. no real slide effects except nerve pain in right index finger which I've learned to block
