Endo using mirena coil and hair loss
Hello, I have endo and polycystic ovaries and I’m using the mirena coil to treat this. However I have hair loss and have lost a lot of hair in the back of my head. Has anyone ever experienced hair loss with the coil? If so what have you done for treatment? Thanks

Looks like our first IVF round is failing
Hi all! I’m new here but looking at some of your posts & replies, it looks like I’ve found a great space for any IVF worries & questions! This is our first round of IVF, after 4 failed & 2 cancelled IUI cycles. We transferred two embryos on 19th May and 7 days later I got some light bleeding. It was

Hi everyone. Sorry a bit long winded.🥺 Recently I have developed reactions to medication. In January I developed rash to my HRT patch that I had been using for 6months, then an allergy to my perfume. In Feb I started on methotrexate for my arthritis but I got really bad nausea that lasted 4 weeks, then

Adenomyosis and endometriosis doubling progesterone pill
Yesterday I was diagnosed with adenomyosis on a scan and probably endometriosis. Initial options are the coil or doubling my progesterone pill. I’ve doubled and feel awful! Upset stomach and nausea, can’t be a coincidence? Does anyone have any experience with the coil that’s positive? I’m at a loss

Visit with new Hem/Onc Dr went well!
Hi Friends, I had my first visit with my new local doctor. He is Associate Head of Stem Cell Transplant Dept with Ochsner in Louisiana. He does not treat any cancers other than blood. He listened and verbalized understanding that my previous Dr’s were not a fit for me. He reviewed my BMB from Vanderbilt

Hi everyone, new here so just a quick (or not) intro; isn't it great to be alive! Glad you're on this mortal coil as well, long that may remain. It's been 18 months since that fateful day that my family went through the hell of seeing me with my heart stopped. They rallied round and took it in turns

Starting my journey this month…
Hi all, I’ve been trying for 4yrs with no luck and to top it off COVId kicked in just as we started to realise there was an issue. Now that we’ve managed to secure appointments and get some tests we’ve been told that we have multiple problems on both sides. Originally the test come back that my partner

Can a 3 year old MIRENA coil cause thrush symptoms.
Hi all this is my first post. I’ve had the mirena coil for the last 3 and a half years. I got this after being diagnosed with PCOS at an early age and not having much luck with the pill. I am undergoing a huge period of consistent pain and now I’m in the process of going in for surgery to see if

Feeling a little bit lost
Hi all. First time posting and I'm not really sure what I want to get out of this post I just feel so lost and confused. I have been living with fibromyalgia for 3 years diagnosed but probably for many years previous so chronic pain is no new thing for me. I went on the hormonal coil in January 2020

Mirena coil side effects
Hi there I got the Mirena coil in six months ago and was wondering what peoples experiences were in terms of how long your body takes to adjust to it. Two months after getting it I now have perioral dermatitis on my face, vulva eczema and spots of my chest and back. My mood has been slightly off also

Thyroid swelling
About 2.5 years ago I noticed my neck looked a bit swollen and I feel like it’s got steadily more pronounced. Blood tests (FBC and U&Es and free T3, free T4 and TSH) are normal and my ultrasound was normal and the GP couldn’t feel anything when he felt my neck. I’m 31, a midwife doing shift work and

Feeling lost ...
I never write on these types of things as reaching out is a big thing for me, but today I am completely at a loss. For some background, I had very heavy painful periods from when they started age 13, I would spend a week off school in bed each month but thought it was normal. Only when this started inferring

Zoladex vs merina coil vs surveillance MRI
I have stage 4 endo with a few laparoscopies and laser treatment. I want to avoid surgery (as I’m full of adhesions) and have been offered zoladex to try or merina coil (no idea why but coil petrifies me as it’s so painful even having a smear!). Last time I had the progesterone implant it negatively
