Unexplained infertility; TTC for 3-4 years never had a positive pregnancy test; 3 IUI cycles failed (all BFN); Two failed FET cycles with 4AA (both BFN)
Don’t believe for 3 years there isn’t an embryo good enough to even get a faint line on the test strip! Therefore we are thinking about getting some advice from consultant who is strong in repeated implantation failure and immunology. We are majorly interested in CARE London and CRGH but open to other suggestions too.
Please could anyone has similar experience leave a message/PM me the details? Thanks 🙏

Hi sorry to hear about your struggles. Have you had an ERA? Have you tested your embryos?I had four failed transfers (using 5 embryos) before both of the above. I’m currently 11 weeks using a tested embryo and following results from the ERA- I previously had the NK killer cells biopsy as well. I am at a London clinic if you want to PM me. X
Thanks for your reply and congratulations on the great news!
I haven’t done ERA but I am thinking about to get it done. Not tested my embryos either - clinic doesn’t suggest us to do so since we had two embryos didn’t survive thawing .
We had 6 IUIs, I failed fresh, one chemical FET before our successful FET in 2020 with no tests etc before hand… just to give you some hope that it can still happen and for some people it can just take a bit longer.
That being said We are Now trying for a sibling and had BFNs on 2x FETs and 1 fresh and now we are going to add in lubion and clexane on next FET to see if that helps. She did say we could do the tests first or just prescribe the clexane as a precaution so I just went for the clexane so as not to delay things.
If this FET doesn’t work the it’s back to egg collection for which she said she would jot me on highest dose for a freeze all and hopefully get enough to do testing on the embryos …… but I don’t know how I feel about that yet 🤔 as I’m not so keen on testing if no known genetic issue but That may be an option for you too? Xx
I guess the difference is that you have got two lines on pregnancy tests which I never had. I really don’t believe it is all down to embryos. I am hoping to rule things out before wasting more embryos.
Yeah definitely it’s a combination of things for sure and likely luck as well!
I think I just persevered through the 6 completely negative IUIs and the fresh transfer BFN as well hoping the next one would be it and yes even though chemical was upsetting it did, after a while, give a bit of hope that it might work eventually (which thankfully it did!).
This time though I’m more willing to try something different after 3 complete BFNs before like you say ‘wasting more embryos’ but I’ve decided just to add the clexane anyway rather than the test and i have bled before test day a few times so the lubion makes sense to me too as a ‘in case’. I will probably get some more tests before another egg collection like you are doing before moving to embryo testing as it just doesn’t sit too well with me ‘discarding’ them for some reason or risking damaging them xxx
Yes, I am a bit reluctant to do genetic screening for the same reason!
I think it is generally a good thing to make some changes after failed FET.
Lubion+Clexane sounds like a good change. I was also on Lubion+Cyclogest in my last cycle. But I know progesterone wasn’t my main problem. My period only starts days after I stopped medicine. I was also on baby aspirin as my consultation suggested it is generally good/safe to add.
