A Little update
She explained to me that I'm struggling to lose weight (despite going to the gym regularly and eating better) due to
insulin
resistance
and was happy to prescribe me metformin which I had originally asked the NHS Dr for and was refused it.

IPT - Insulin Potentiation Therapy - anyone w experience?
I'm considering IPT - Insulin Potentiation Therapy. 10% of the normal dose of chemo but every week. Not usually any hair loss but perhaps some thinning. It works sort of like a Trojan horse - insulin/sugar opens the cancer cells up and then the chemo kills the cancer. Very targeted and much less

Methotrexate injections?
Hi all Any patient advice about Methotrexate via injection? I'm off to Rheumatology next week. My RA isn't well controlled on 15mg Methotrexate tablets and last time I was seen I was told they prefer their patients to be on injections rather than tablets. I'm not really any better than a year ago before

Preds and diabetes 2.
Had appt with diabetes nurse today. Good news bp ok but glucose levels 93 (11) After flare up 2 months ago I've reduced from 20mcg to 17mcg pred. Have agreed to see Endocrinologist but there's a long wait for appt. Tomorrow I'll start reducing carbs and hopefully this will help - don't want to

Diet and an eye out for PSP
For what its worth I am reading up on diet and have PSP on my mind as I read. There have been some quite astonishing studies post 1940's showing that cutting out certain foods or managing ones diet can substantially change the risk of developing a disease and in some cases can cure a disease. So there
