PD for a Type II Diabetic
Does PD work if you are a type II diabetic? I understand that the fluid that you fill your abdominal cavity with is a sugar-based solution. Does that mean it has an effect on your blood sugar levels? I'm diabetic but only use an oral medication right now and do not require insulin shots. I'm just concerned

Filled me up and gave me energy after an extended fast, did not significantly raise glucose or insulin, cooked in butter so high in natural fats and delicious. What more could you (well, me at least) want?

My pharacy screwed up my script for the last time. In April because they are a bunch of incompentents I went 17 days w/o insulin even though they kept calling me asking when I was going to pick up my meds. I would get there & no meds for me. Grrr! And again in May. 14 days w/o insulin for the same

More on Gut Microbiome and Akkermansia muciniphila
Recently pjoshea posted on this topic: Optimizing our gut microbiome with prebiotics (that create an optimized environment for beneficial microbes) and probiotics (the colony forming beneficial bacteria to repopulate the gut). Amazing 104 year old diet book
Diabetic Cookery by Rebecca Oppenheimer 5 years before insulin, she already knew what we are just relearning now! Lots of almond flour (well, blanched and pounded almonds) and aleuronat flour, which seems to be vital wheat gluten. https://archive.org/details/diabeticcookeryr00oppeiala/page/13/mode

What should I do next ?
I used to have
insulin
resistance
from PCOS (took Metformin to control it) so I am at high risk of developing diabetes. Is this linked to hypothyroidism? Thanks for reading my questions and for any info/advice you can bring.

Type 2 diabetes medication shown to benefit asthma patients.
Type 2 diabetes patients who also have asthma are benefitting from a diabetes medication, typically given to help the pancreas produce more insulin, that also improves asthma symptoms and may reduce lung and airway inflammation. These types of medication — GLP-1 receptor agonists — are a newer class
