Does Firmagon injection scar tissue go away? How long does it take?

After about 8 months of Firmagon monthly injections in my belly area, I switched 3 months ago to Lupron injections in my “love handles.” I switched to preserve remaining belly sites not made lumpy by Firmagon for my insulin pump ports—insulin injection plus Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM). I insert new insulin pump ports every 3-7 days.

Firmagon belly lumps seem to be healing slowly. Not fast enough to use for insulin pump ports. So how long does it take for Firmagon injection sites to heal?

Fortunately, my insulin site ports heal in 2-3 days. But I only preserved a limited area in my belly before switching to lupron. Sure could use more room at those unhealed former Firmagon injection sites.

I switched to oral Orgovyx in February 2021 because of these hard lumps (and the debilitating 2-3 days of pain when they form) from the reconstituted powder Firmagon shots. The 4 (actually 5 because of dual loading dose) created a launch I never had before...and I still have the lumps from the injections that disfigure this part of my body. Firmagon is just not worth the sacrifices.

Sorry I can't help. I had 2 years of Firmagon and never experienced any lumping. On balance, my Firmagon experience was uneventful.
