My pharacy screwed up my script for the last time. In April because they are a bunch of incompentents I went 17 days w/o insulin even though they kept calling me asking when I was going to pick up my meds. I would get there & no meds for me. Grrr! And again in May. 14 days w/o insulin for the same reasons as last time. Kept getting emails & phone calls saying meds are ready. Get there & nothing. I began to feel sick & sicker. Had trouble focusing my eyes. Muscle aches in places I didn't know I had muscles. Heart palpatations. Trouble breathing. Dizzy & had trouble standing. Blood sugar was 290. Its supposed to be 100-125.
At long last Walgreens came through. This was after I asked them to get the insulin from one of the other 2 pharms in town. They had told me that it doesn't work like that. Really? Since when? Since always I was told. Walgreens owns all the drug stores in town. How is it that they don't cooperate with each other?
As I was leaving the pharmacist said "See you next time." I had a gun control moment. That's a moment when shooting someone is completely appropriate. Using every ounce of willpower I turned around and said, with a Mona Lisa smile, "Oh, there's not going to be a next time." Then I walked away head held high. So proud of myself for supressing my "Karen" urges. I went home & made arrangements with PillPak to mail me my meds from now on. PillPak is on Amazon. They are truly wonderful. I've gotten my other meds from them for years. No problems. I told them my story and they told me not to worry they will sort it out with my doc. Saw doc today & she said she had spoken to PillPak & everything is all set for the future. PillPak you rock!
