COVID vaccine - old stock in use in the UK
Apparently, in order to save money, the British government decided to use the old stock of COVID vaccines, and they were doing so until a week (or so) ago. Hence, more than 2.3 million older and immunosuppressed people received the vaccine that does not match the dominant strain (XBB ), including people

Better after covid
I've had PMR for more that two years, am now down to 2.5 mg. A month ago I also had covid, like a very bad cold plus diarrhea. It lasted two weeks. Now I'm recovered from the covid I feel better than I have in more than a year. That dragging feeling of weakness and fatigue I've had for months has gone

Severe insomnia and limited meds to take while on Hydroxy.
Hi all, first timer on this thread. I’ve been on Plaquenil for 5-years to treat RA and also on antidepressant Celexa (10mg) for the last 10 years. In 2022, my primary dr suddenly alarmed me that I can no longer take Celexa due to IQ heart issues that was found during the Covid pandemic when so many

Hide Covid ad
This may sound silly, but I am very excited because I figured out how to hide the Covid ad that pops up after every initial post. Covid was the cause of my major anxiety, and every time I looked at the ad it would remind me of what makes me anxious. I'm not sure why they allowed this kind of an ad

Home again!
My trip overseas was very hot and the river cruise was great-no cooking for nearly a month! The downside is that after I travel home in the giant aluminium tube that recirculates air for about 800+ travellers, I managed to get Covid. No probs, got the anti virals and wondered why I wasn't getting better

Covid causing Asthma flare
I had Covid nearly two weeks ago and I've been left with this lingering cough and occasional breathlessness and I've also been finding that I'm using my Ventolin inhaler more, my chest doesn't feel tight but sometimes i just get very out of breath and it's hard to catch my breath. I've found that box

Covid Jab - ending my previous comment on a posting a few weeks back, I promised I’d let the forum know how my jab went…….
Firstly, let me state that a one off result is not significantly relevant and so please don’t draw any definitive conclusions from my personal experience. To compound the above, my circumstances are not straight forward and there are lots of variables that could impact instances of me either having

COVID infection
Hi everyone both my husband and I tested positive for COVID over 2 wks ago with mild symptoms. My husband tested negative after 7 days but I'm still testing positive although I have no symptoms, and it's now 14 days since first test. Any advice why this should be?

**Last Update** Covid - Help!
For those who've had Covid at some point, when did your symptoms go away and did you need professional medical treatment for that to happen? My son was formally diagnosed on 9/18, and I developed symptoms the following day. I didn't bother getting tested. He was barely sick for about 3 days, but I've

Do I increase Pred to cover me for Covid jab?
I'm very anxious about having a Covid booster as I believe the vaccines precipitated my PMR early last year. I was advised (by consultant) not to have the 2002 autumn booster as I had some immunity from catching Covid itself but he has said to have the booster this year as it is now 15 months since my

Off topic? Stravinsky Study
Hi folks Just in case anyone fancies being involved in a research study. I tried to attach the poster but failed miserably so resorted to copy/paste of the information.
We are conducting a study to determine whether an antibody test result can predict who has the greatest risk of severe COVID-19
