Pink Eye & Covid Vaccine

I have exfoliation glaucoma in left eye and being tested with various eye meds. Had Covid shot on Wednesday and Methotrexate on Thursday. Felt horrid yesterday and today yoke up with pink eye in the right eye. Does the Covid jab affect the eyes does anyone know? Thank you for your help.

Shouldn't do but the MTX will have reduced your immunity and if it is conjunctivitis it is very contagious so easily caught anyway. Another reason to miss next week's MTX dose.

I put Tiopex x 1 daily and Brinzolomide I drop tds and Ilube 4 times daily in that eye. It has helped and a lot clearer. Eye could be very dry as it does a lot of work compensating for vitrectomy eye. Codeine Phos would make it dry too. I googled MTX with Covid jab booster and indeed it does affect glaucomatous eyes and could raise their IOP. Sigh! Thank you again for your support. 🥰

I was just thinking about you, and about to write and thank you very much for replying to me again so quickly with your advice re the rest and the eye. Both of which have calmed down greatly. The pain has pretty well gone, but it’s duvet days for at least 3 days! The right eye has returned to normal again! May it last! I did have a very wee spot of Manuka honey which to me is like the Chicken Noodle Soup for dear SJ - a cure all for a lot of things! Many thanks again Pro.
