Discouraged-looking for help!
Hi all! Looking for some advice, I have not been formally diagnosed with fibromyalgia yet however, it has been suspected from my GP. I have tried Naproxen, dicyclomine sodium and now I’m on amitriptyline to help me manage my full body chronic pain and chronic fatigue which also seem to not be working

Explosive d* - anxiety?
I almost went 3 whole weeks without my one Imodium per week (took one last on the 22 of December) and managed Christmas just fine, normal stools and quite a change in diet (no broccoli, sprouts, risky fruits and alot less chocolate and cake). Along with this I had no work, gigs or nerve inducing plans

Ok, I'm bad. I just turned 63 and my home general DR. insists on a colonoscopy. I have never.... I mean you know "exit only" had one.
My question is: Should I be concerned about my DBS considering they are giving me a "party girl" drip? I tolerated Cateract procedure 5 years ago w/o any concerns but the dr. says this will take a little longer and I am a few years further into noticeable progressions than I was at that time. For

RECENT EPISODE on 24 January 2020
Though I had experience of knocking sensation before but last Friday's episode was really dreadful after my dinner. On sitting I felt a pressure on mid-chest area, it was something like I have been locked from inside and can get relief if I have some belching. Noted the BP which was high 180/70 HR 78

Raynauds Disease, Positive ANA, normal complement levels, I'm lost.
Hello :) I was just diagnosed with Raynauds and tested positive for elevated ANA titer. I don't know by how much because I was not given the results. My doctor emailed me and told me to get more blood drawn. All of my CBC bloodwork came back normal. Glucose, magnesium, sodium, all normal range. ESR perfect

Post 585 Take your time 8 Jan 2020
That does seem to be an obvious statement, but I will say it again. Take your time. "YOU" have just been diagnosed (Dx'd) with Relapsing-Remitting ms (RRms), "YOU" have tears to shed brick walls to kick and the sky to yell at. Give it everything that "YOU" can muster. Let the scientist on the space station

Subarachnoid haemorrhage
I had a valve replacement in 2018 with good recovery. In October I had a subarachnoid haemorrhage with similar symptoms prior to it happening. Yet again symptoms ignored by GP. Severe hypertension, low potassium and high sodium. Passed out in the street. 10 day stay in hospital after diagnosis.

IBS-D - Silicogel
For anyone like me, who suffers from IBS-D, I would thoroughly recommend Solicogel, which you can buy from any natural health shop, such as Holland and Barratt. I have tried many things over the last few years since my problem got worse, but other than the usual Imodium type of tablets, this works very

Need a little bit of help/advice
Hi, New here, so hopefully this post is correct? I moved to Vietnam 2 years ago, whilst over there, I’m very careful in what I eat & where I eat but I have diarrhoea/loose bowl movements at least once a week. I came to the UK for Xmas for 2 weeks (I’m still here) & I still had diarrhoea, I had it on

When can you not get DBS?
When I went for my last neurology visit right before Christmas, it was suggested that I consider DBS... I was taken aback, because I can still get good results with c/l (although since my PD honeymoon ended it has gotten a lot harder), and I thought I would have a lot more time until I needed to consider

DBS revision
I’m curious if anyone has experience or knowledge of the new generation of DBS units that have “steerable “ current. More specifically, I am interested in the St. Jude Infinity units ability to be used after the Medtronic units have seemed to lose therapeutic efficacy.

Terrible guts after flu
I have had a fluey virus since the 10th of December. The flu symptoms went away after about 11 days, but during that time I’ve been feeling nauseous and have had diarrhoea. I also had such an acidic stomach I lost my appetite. I got an emergency appointment at my GP on Friday 20th. I was acutely anxious

I think we often feel lost and alone when our symptoms flare and no one to turn to. This series has been comforting and offers us hope because these doctors who are also biochemists or microbiologists are trying to find ways to help us in this journey and search for our best life. https://supplementsrevealed.com

Feeling on top of the world
Hello Ladies, I haven't posted for a while but I have news! I went for a scan last Wednesday and had a meeting with my oncologist on Thursday. The first thing he said was: 'We have your scan results'. I was not expecting them for another month but there was more. 'There is no measurable disease, a couple

Back In The Bed
I have been feeling great for a while but that came to an end, I spent all of last week in bed. I woke up feeling very fatigued i just couldn’t move around without feeling I was going to fall, I didn't go to the doctor because whenever I've gone because of how I am feeling they always say, they are not

I’m in a bad way
I posted a week or so back that I was really ill with a virus. So I’m still really ill. Ended up at the GP as an emergency last Friday morning as I was in an acute anxiety attack, as well as still have diarrhoea and feeling so sick. My husband and youngest daughter came and I can’t tell you how appallingly

Leading pain doctor says no significant pain relievers for at least ten years.
A post I read in the newsletter Pain News Network, a leading doctor/scientist in the field of pain management stated that in her professional opinion there will not be a significant replacement pain reliever for at least ten years, or more. Seems Big Pharma is running out of options for pain relievers
