Lupus and Monkeypox
Hi all, I thought I'd ask as this is very topical at the moment, especially for the immunosuppressed. Does anyone have any comments on this?

Parkinson's disease is an autoimmune disease: An emerging viewpoint
The first description of Parkinson's disease (PD) was made in 1817 by James Parkinson. In his first description, Parkinson postulated the involvement of the immune system in PD pathology (Parkinson, 2002, Parkinson, 1817). How did we get so far off-course? Dogma #1 - PD is not just an age related movement

Is your Parkinson's diagnosis really idiopathic? Or is there an underlying cancer/autoimmune disorder?

Shingles vaccine
I know this has been discussed several times and is covered in FAQs so I apologise for raising it again. Last year I was told by my GP practice not to have the shnigels vaccine because it was live and I was considered immunosuppressed being on 5mg of pred. This year they say it's safe for me to have

Still not convinced
I have recently been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease and have started a steroid treatment and will then go on
immunosuppressants
. But the thing is I am not actually convinced it’s Crohn’s as all of my "flare ups" are always around my period.

Transplant Journey outcomes/advice anyone?
Hi, I have had CKD for several years and declined dramatically over the last 6mths -1yr and was actually started urgently on dialysis in July when my GFR dropped to 3 and creatine was 12.43. I had already had a consult and was added to a wait list for kidney transplant in early February of this year.
