What is an IgM Anti-Cardiolipin blood test?
I have had my IgM Anti-Cardiolipin tested 3 times in the past 6 months. Results have been, 22, 35.5 and last week was 53. I know the normal range is between 0-10 but what exactly does IgM Anti-Cardiolipin mean? I am under a Haematologist at Manchester who has been really good so far but I am still baffled

Is APS linked to other immune issues?
HI Has anyone else found that they have high readings for other immunoglobulins? I do believe this to be true - having one we are predisposed to others. E.g my Igg is high but also my Ige is very high (allergies). I wonder if these others are related to the NKCells? I have a feeling they do, like

6 years ago I came down with a mystery illness. So far no doctors had been able to give me a diagnosis, could it be thyroid? More details..
I was just wondering whether if I posted a fairly detailed history of my case, symptoms and test results would you be able to offer any ideas about whether it might be thyroid or thyroid related? Or just any ideas at all really? (I was recommended to put this on here from someone within a Lupus group

I am about to have IVIG to try to improve my balance problems in my legs. Has anybody else had this treatment? If so, did it help?

My son is 20 months old and was diagnosed with itp a few weeks before his first birthday. He's had ivig, whinrow(not sure if the spelling),
He's been on prednisilone since September, and just recently a rituxin infusion. He also had a bone marrow biopsy before starting the steroids. He's on a low dosage, only 2.5ml a day. We are trying to wean him off of them now. Problem is, his platelets usually stay between 10 and 12. The rituxin put

Recently Diagnosed and started Treatment
Hi Folk, I have been lurking here for a few months. Now delurking. Am a 62 year old man. Because of a whole raft of symptoms - gut problems, breathing difficulties and a lot else I got a private blood test last year. It was high positive for IgM and borderline for IgA. Saw Professor Kamashta at

just started Imuran did that work for anyone with ITP? I am on prednisone but the side effects are so awful so dr is trying to ween me off.
I've had 6 treatments of rituxan but it had no affect. I have also gone through several treatments of ivig which works but is short lived.

Tegarding lo innune system
I just wondered if anyone else is being treated with sub cut
immunoglobulin
for a virtually non existant immune system due to 30 years of steroids. . I had a 18 month trial came off it for 6 months and now back.on it again as system virtually wiped out. .i do it myself at home via a drip weekly.

I am trying to find out if I am unmutated or mutated. My results show IgM positive and IgG negative. What's the difference?
It seems that it's vital whether the CLL is unmutated or mutated but I can't seem to find that information anywhere on my FISH test results.

I have been on quite a combination of drugs, fighting last relapse, since November: rituximab, two 4-day pulses of dexamethasone 40mg 1st and 3rd week, IVIG, then azathioprine for 2 weeks and then 6-MP for 2 weeks. As rituximab has eventually worked, I was taken off 6-MP about a month ago and after
