Starting IVF/ICSI cycle in a couple of months and feeling anxious
Hello all, After 3 years of TTC and diagnosed with male infertility (very low count due to scarring after op), we are starting our IVF/
ICSI
cycle in a couple of months. I'll be 38. I am very anxious about the whole process, and the low success rate expected.

IVF with ICSI
Does anyone here have experience with IVF and
ICSI
being successful? I'm looking for hope, but keeping my feet on the ground for what I know could be a blow to our future family. Thank you.

Well after 2ww and
ICSI
I’m not pregnant. It’s just my luck, my partner and I are the unluckiest people in the world. Everything goes wrong for us. Nothing is ever simple and straight forward. Totally deflated and feeling what’s the point anymore!

Buying sperm UK
We’re now thinking of buying sperm , roughly £2300 for 3 vials / go’s from Manchester fertility centre , having this sent to liverpool hewit and beginning ivf/
ICSI
on the NHS, we would be bypassing the long wait for sperm allocation ??? Has anyone done this?

What to expect- the ICSI journey begins here
We’re in a good place though and after no joy on clomid now we start
ICSI
. My first buserelin injection will be on 6.9.18 and I have no real idea of what to expect. Any advice would be great- I’ve taken off the first few days from work so I can get used to it.

Nervous!!
Morning ladies, I had my egg collection last Friday for our 3rd attempt at IVF (well in our case we are going down the
ICSI
route) they collected 13 eggs, which is great for me as our highest was 6!

NHS funded ICSI
My husband and I have been accepted for NHS funded
ICSI
with either partner’s or donor sperm. However our clinic is saying they will only perform the option that has the highest possibility of pregnancy. This would therefore be using a sperm donor, as I don’t have fertility issues.

Time off work for IVF? - Teachers
My husband and I were hoping to complete our first round of IVF
ICSI
, during the summer holidays. However due to needing more tests beforehand this wasn’t Possible. We are hoping to start treatment at the end of September/ beginning October.

“I am the one who knocks (up)”...hopefully.
“Choose IVF, choose
ICSI
, choose injecting yourself twice a day, having a scanner put up your chuff and inserting pessaries into your bum...” you get the picture 😉 xxx

Natural or drug assisted IVF/ICSI cycle?
Has anyone had a successul ’natural’ IVF treatment? I’m very fortunate to have no reproductive issues but my parter has azoospermia. He is waiting for a biopsy to see if they can find any sperm being produced. I have heard of natural cycles where the woman doesn’t need to do the injections and have hormone

Acupuncture for improved egg quality - any thoughts??
We are due to start our 5th IVF cycle with
ICSI
in the next few months. I have a low ovarian reserve and poor egg quality and have been doing a lot of research on fertility acupuncture.

Meds collected, day 1 of injections any day now!
Today I collected my meds for my first short protocol
ICSI
, my period is late but my clinic scanned me anyway today. They took bloods and confirmed for the 100th time in the last three years that the test was negative.

Penicillin whilst pregnant
Hi all, I have recently had a BFP on my second cycle of
ICSI
but I now have tonsillitis and my doctor has given me penicillin! He said it’s fine to take whilst pregnant but my mum thinks I shouldn’t take it! Have any of you lovely ladies had penicillin whilst being pregnant? X

What to ask in the second fertility appointment? (NHS)
He told us that IUI is not an option for us, and that we would need IVF with
ICSI
to have a successful conception and pregnancy. He said that funding is available for one cycle on the NHS only, and that it is a complicated process to apply for funding.

August, let the ball roll again
We'll hopefully collect them, fertilize with
ICSI
and freeze the embryos. Then we'll start another round immediately after and at the end of it we'll do PGS + transfer of the best embryo. So yeah, it's time for me to start fighting again!
