Start icsi Thursday

My af has arrived so we start treatment Thursday .... having icsi at the priory short cycle. Is anyone else starting soon? Also does anyone know if there are any side effects on menopur Thankyou x

We are on ICSI short protocol and started Menopur injections on Saturday. Tonight is night 4.

I have my first scan tomorrow

I found the first injection to be the best, getting worse as it goes on, so not looking forward to tonight’s.

Think side effects have started to kick in as of today too. I have felt really rough all day, with stomach ache and feeling sick.

Looking forward to the scan tomorrow and finding out what happens next.

Best of luck for Thursday. I didn’t have any major side effects with Menopur. One thing I found different to Gonal F was the Menopur injection can sting a bit for a while afterwards. It’s totally manageable though xx

The only symptom I ever got was headaches but they weren't unmangable in the slightest. Good luck with your cycle xx

Hi, good luck for your cycle. We seem to be at a similar stage to you. We had our pre treatment consultation yesterday. We are also having icsi. So we have our plan now and, af arrived yesterday so I start my nasal spray synarel on 13th August.

I felt sick this morning too, i think its one of the unfortunate side effects. How did you get on with the injecting? Xx

They didn’t hurt that much just stung a bit x hope ur well

Yeah i don’t even feel the needle go in when my partner does it, like you say it stings abit doesn’t it xx

My partners suprised me he’s not the biggest fan of needles and he’s overcome his feat of them, just so he can inject me!

I’ve gone the opposite way, i’m not eating much at all xx
