Has anyone had a successul ’natural’ IVF treatment? I’m very fortunate to have no reproductive issues but my parter has azoospermia. He is waiting for a biopsy to see if they can find any sperm being produced.
I have heard of natural cycles where the woman doesn’t need to do the injections and have hormone stimulation etc prior to the harvesting eggs and implanting the embryo.
Has anyone done this or is it worth having the stimulation drugs anyway? I’m terrified at the thought of injecting myself and I’m wondering if I should put drugs in my body unecessarily. I’m worried about possible side effects....are they really bad or tolerable? I have to be able to work with 5&6 yr olds all day.
Has anyone had the choice of natural or drug assisted cycle? If so what did you choose and if you don’t mind sharing the outcome I’d be grateful. 🙂
Many thanks.

I don't know much about the differences unfortunately but from a side effects point of view, I managed to work through the stims with no issues. I had a headache on day one, then days 8-12 I had bloating and felt more tired than usual but all was OK.
I had egg collection and that was fine as I did not feel a thing. After a long wait for FET I'm now taking Estrodial which has been absolutely fine, headache on day one and nothing since.
I worked with year one through three cycles of full ivf on a high drug dose so I would say it’s definitely possible to work with 5/6 year olds and do ivf. I found the early stages of pregnancy much harder!
You’d manage. Everyone does. You just can’t really keep early pregnancy a secret from those you work closely with if you have bad sickness, that’s all, as you need them to help out x
