35 years on... ovarian cyst or what?
Hi everyone, I am new here and I guess I am in need of help and support through my uncertainty and fear and constantly wondering if I will get to my appointment in three days for my results. Summarizing, I had a hysterectomy in 1985 to improve my constant back pain that I had endured for five years.

Should I get a second opinion?
Six years ago I had a hysterectomy but at the beginning of August I woke up to find that I was bleeding. I saw my doctor who said I was full of blood but couldn’t see a source of where th bleeding was coming from. I’ve recently seen a gynaecologist who ahead a quick look and said there was nothing there

Sitting Pain
I am 51 and was diagnosed at Mayo in January, after two years of multiple orthopedic docs, two spine surgeons, two pain clinics, various injections, a local rheumatologist who told me to get on with life (a female, surprisingly), an internist who wanted to send me to a month-long mental camp, and a boss

Fibroids
Can a hysteoscopy miss external fibroids. I have a lot of symptoms that would point towards them, but they did not see them in my hysteroscopy? I have my hysterectomy next Friday and I’m worried they will find them and make surgery turning out not to be laperoptic

Chronic lower back pain, amitriptyline and the zombie.
Hi Everyone, I hope that you like me are hanging on despite all the hassle Covid has caused. I've had chronic lower back pain for the last few months and not really been sure what's causing it, whether it is endo, zoladex or what really. I called my GP who prescribed 10mg of Amitriptyline taken at night

10 days after complete hysterectomy - looking forward to new lease of life!
I finally got my total hysterectomy done after waiting so long - most of the wait was down to me not being well enough for the op - the other part was due to covid 19. I was petrified but my main thought was that if I needed an op I was only going to have one. I wanted it all over and done with as I'd

Pain following induced menopause
Hi. I'm new here. I just got the injection to induce the menopause last Tuesday (11th). Since then, my period has lasted 8days and for the last two days I have had painful cramps. I just wondered if anyone else has had this following the injection? I am currently awaiting to get a full hysterectomy once

Advice on HRT patches, Iv been on the menapouse injections and they have decided to try this HRT, I’m not very happy about the situation being 19 Iv just simply had enough ! My doctor said it can increase the growth of Breast cancer 😢. It will get rid of my side affects of the injections but I’m so

What treatments are there for endometriosis?
I'm 23 and recently diagnosed with an ovarian cyst and endometriosis. I know it's bad but not how bad yet as awaiting further test. My worst fear is having to have a hysterectomy. Could I please have some help with understanding what treatments are out there? Thanks in advance

Bad Avastin reaction
Hello all. I was diagnosed with OC back at the end of Feb, after a cyst burst. At the time the emergency hysterectomy showed it was 'contained' and they staged it as 1C, but of course the fluid meant cells went winging around my abdominal cavity, and because it's an 'unknown primary' - apparently undifferentiated

Anyone experiencing stomach pains after the hysterectomy?
Hi ladies. My mother experiences terrible stomach pains for hours at a time ever since her hysterectomy. It’s occurs about 8-10 a year. We’ve talked to doctors but they don’t seem to have an answer for her. Is anyone else going through this?

My Wife’s story to help others. (Fibroids)
My Amazing Wife’s story I just wanted to tell my story in the hope that it might help someone in a similar position. I am 41 years old and I found a lump/ hardness in the lower, left hand side of my pelvis. The lump would move lightly at different times of the day and sometimes I couldn’t feel it at

Operation planned
I don’t comment a lot but I read many of your messages and questions and feel for you all. It’s a horrible journey to be on and I’ve previously been told I had IBS, low pain threshold (definitely not) and imaginary pain. It actually took a nurse to say to me when I came back for another suspected urine

In praise of Ibrance and Letrozole
My initial right-breast cancer appeared (grew very quickly to the size of a grapefruit) in 1992. I had 6 courses of chemo, very extensive mastectomy, 34 radiation, then 6 more chemo. I was clear of what all doctors said would be terminal. Had lots of physical therapy and crying. 24 years later, in 2016

Uterosacral Ligaments
Hi ladies Does anyone have any advice on deep infiltrating endo on the uterosacral ligaments? I've had 3 surgeries over 20 years; in summary - ablation in 2002, ovaries removed in 2015 and then full hysterectomy in 2017. On top of my endo I also had adenomyosis. I was 44 in 2015 so went onto HRT then
